The zero imagination 'bean counters' don't know diddly squat about the public's wants and interests, nor do they care. Their goal is to build it CHEAP, paint it several different pretty colors and let the dummies pick one. That's exactly WHY the Japanese auto industry was able to eat their lunch and finally force them to build better/safer/longer lasting vehicles. Sadly, the nitwits STILL haven't learned their lesson.

Age would be in your favor, dude. If your credit is clean, I'd say they might very well, write you a loan for one! It takes them about three or four months to haul a new car for non-payment, maybe more time than that with today's still-dodgy stock market. I would suggest also, the last thing GM needs is a story about a kid who loved Buicks as a kid and this was one last time to ride the dream..Call the local TV stations and practice fighting back tears. Sooner or later, GM will relent in full publicity to letting you keep the car for free, gratis. Keep us posted. However, read my comments about the only way I see GM marketing this and others correctly.

Yes and if it wasn't for that, being the best of the worst at the time, it likely would be a forgotten footnote in car history. A Buick beating a Corvette will never happen again. GM will see to that. Unless it is electric, in which case they are all crazy fast anyway.

That concept Grand National you came up with is absolutely GORGEOUS in my humble opinion! I'm definitely not against the revival of nameplates, I just don't want it done "wrong!" Same here, that Integra was disappointing. They ignored all the serious but playful elements from the original. I hope they never revive a legend using the current staff of designers. Maybe! As someone who used to line my ‘81 T against a ‘66 Charger, ‘69 Camaro, & ‘95 Trans Am; I can attest that this is a decent concept but one glaring thing that the GN had that this doesn’t have is field of view; the FOV seems like the newer Camaros or an old Countach. I get it that this is needed for increased aerodynamics but… There were also design features like fender vents for increased brake cooling, trunk lid integrated spoiler, and others that were fashionable & functional. Plus, IT’S NOT BLACK!!! Yeah I know; not all GNs were black (check out the ‘82 GN all you naysayers).

I wouldn't buy anything Turbo. In the 1980's the original Grand National had the Turbo mounted away from the engine. The Turbos get to 1,875°Fahrenheit. Right now the only Brand Mounts the Turbo away from the engine, is Porsche. If it's not Supercharged or Naturally Aspirated I don't want it. 👦👍🏎🏁🚩 I also will never buy an Automatic Transmission, or a Front wheel drive, and definitely never buying an Electric Vehicle
