Heck of a building, buddy. It's looking great. I thought about building my building myself, but I had to face facts. 1) I don't have time. 2) I don't have the experience. and 3) If there are ANY mistakes, it's on ME... Versus the contractor. That last point alone was enough for me to hire it out. It's a phenomenal building, buddy. That concrete floor is really going to make a difference for you.

Thanks Kenny! And I agree with you on all points, I can’t begin to imagine doing all of the things that I’ve watched those work crews do these past few weeks, let alone to the level of quality they achieved. Great job by all involved. Those closing shots really show the transformation all your hard work has brought to the lanscape. The huge effort you've put in has yielded well deserved results. I hope you're as pleased with it as you should be, I know when you have high standards it can be easy to get caught up on really trivial details but really it's fantastic. Now the real work begins. You have your interior construction to do after you finish the landscaping and get your drainage system done. I am curious about whether you plan to have electricity in your building. I know that I didn't originally plan to it in my outbuilding but I realized quickly that it would make things so much more convenient for when I needed to work there.

Everything looks beautiful. But I have a feeling that this winter you will notice that your overhead doors won't be closing all the way. That's what happens with a door sitting on a floating slab of concrete. You should have dug out and then poured a frost wall under the door. My floating slab in my shed rises around two inches every winter. The deeper the frost the higher the lift. If you keep the building heated, then you won't have a problem. Just saying.

All those rocks you grow there and you had to buy stone?😅 Oh what’s up with the rock crusher btw?
@squatch253
2 ай бұрын
I needed that classified 2” round rock for proper drainage, since round stones maintain the voids around themselves and ensure the water will flow through. Crushed stone is jagged by comparison, and will slowly settle and pack tight over time which closes up the voids and restricts water flow. So for this purpose, the rock crusher wouldn’t be used anyway 👍
