I can have caffeine late in the day if I'm going to do a workout. Which for me is typically a 1 hour heated yoga or HIIT class w/ dumbells. And it definitely makes me work out harder. But I feel like the sweat session burns it off by the time I'm ready for bed. Because if I'm not working out I can't have caffeine after maybe 1-2 PM or it will keep me up all night.

It’s worth a try. I have some apigenin which I got after a recommendation by Andrew Huberman to take it to help a person who has trouble going back to sleep after waking in the night. It didn’t work for me, but now I know how I’m going to use it up - maybe - if I notice a difference in weight loss. I start slow on some things, so will try this earlier than 5 - maybe at 3. If you are just looking for the caffeine, black tea is an alternative. Typically it has lower caffeine per cup than coffee, but you can also drink more than 1 cup to increase the dose. Green tea has less caffeine but Matcha powders can increase the caffeine to almost comparable with black tea. I try to drink some green tea almost every afternoon. Green tea also has a variety of other benefits and can increase longevity, etc.
