DP! I love your content, but a little more homework on the video topic would go a long way to improving your product. A lot of the questions you raised in the video have already been answered by SEG. They’ve explained why they are staying downtown, they looked at building a new arena elsewhere, and gave reasons why they opted to stay put. The answers are there, a little more research on your part would make for a better video and I would imagine it’d net you more subscribers…Just a thought.

5:50 SEG never requested a helipad. They're requesting a zoning change for the blocks they want to rebuild, and that zoning change if approved would open up the possibility of helipads, but they never asked for one.

People shouldn't underestimate the tech money flowing into SLC. If talks in Phoenix are still truly ongoing, this feels like rent-a-team playing at Delta Center now (and w/ a generic team name), with possibly future expansion into a new arena. With their online poll, they'll have recent fan preferences for a team name.
@Utonian21

What are you talking about? Lmao. Ryan Smith now owns the team, he isn't "renting" it. If Alex Morello can secure a new arena in Phoenix, he'll be the one granted an expansion team that can use the Coyotes identity. The team in Utah won't go back

They should build a new arena south of the city for both teams and use the Delta Center for concerts in downtown. People underestimate how former sports arenas can be repurposed for concerts when they don't have to worry about scheduling around sports games or potential playoff series. Let Ryan Smith build a privately funded arena in a suburb and use the Delta Center as is for concerts. Look at Oakland Arena is Oakland (former Oracle Arena for Warriors) it now hosts tons of concerts and pulls in a lot of profit! Arenas can go from sports to years round concerts. And maybe 40 years from now when the arena built in a suburb ages out they can tear down the Delta Center and rebuild a state of the art sports arena. But right now it doesn't make sense to build another arena downtown when the states best arena is already downtown.
@meddyven

Ryan Smith reneged on promising to build a brand new arena. This whole Delta Center re-do, will end up costing more than putting up a brand new facility. The idea of leaving Delta Center as is, and using it as a concert/ convention center, would bring in a ton of events. This proposrd reno, is going to be a disaster for downtown, along the W. Temple corridor.

If the NHL is allowing a new team, practically, to just renovate an outdated, non hockey arena, for an unproven and small NHL market, the NHL should be very lenient to other NHL cities who have arena issues.

"unproven" The Jazz sold out 200 consecutive games (and they currently suck ass) and the NHL team already has 30k season ticket deposits. But you're right bro, let's give more teams to big markets like Miami, where teams like the Marlins average a whopping attendance of 50 people per game
