As always fantastic video Gabriella. Loved the comparison. Interesting how the new blocks are more concentrated & vibrant. I wasn’t expecting that. They painted really well, not blotchy or streaky…look a little creamy even. I plan to order the graphtint set from Amazon & already ordered that luscious Forrest Pine along with the inktense leaf green, deep violet & paynes grey from Cult Pens in UK…should be here this week 👏 Oh also, they made a new charcoal xl box that has a yellow & blue that I picked up too…very interested in seeing what those are like. I managed to snag a Derwent watersoluble 120 pencil collection for $100usd for my birthday last month, which filled out my inktense & graphitint selection [which is why I skipped the full new inktense set 💸]. So some fun exploration is in store this month. Thanks for sharing your comparison/art and looking forward to more, including your new inktense xl review. Take care 👋💜👋

Great video, Gabriella. Subscribed :) I have a tip for you: if you want to stop the colour name from coming off the blocks, just turn the block over so the name is at the bottom and you can always check. The block would look a bit plain, I guess, especially on the camera 😉there's something satisfying or magickal about seeing the name of your favourite medium as you use it all the time, especially if you had to save money to finally get it, they're not cheap. Another idea is to put little labels on the side of the tin, or write the name with an acrylic marker, the tin seems to be quite deep, so there's room for a small note.

I have the old sets of the tinted charcoal and graphite blocks sitting unused on my shelf. I primarily create mixed media pieces, but I would love to see more videos of how you use them.

Hi, I use Renesans fixative spray on everything, including Graphitints. That seals everything.

I love watching you create works with Tinted charcoal and Graphatint and also the ArtGraph blocks. These media go so well with your nature scenes. Where did you find the open stock on the tinted Charcoal? I have the old set of both the Graphatint Blocks and the Timorese Charcoal and I think I would prefer to just buy the “new” colors in each

Hi, the charcoal blocks are available at Derwent affiliate merchants. In my country there is an art store / manufacturer that's a Derwent distributor and they sell all their products online as well as in their store. It's 2 hour ride from my home but I went there to pick up the blocks bc I really wanted them asap lol. But you can order them online as well.

Another great video - Will you show us how you straighten or flatten your paper if it warps during painting?

Hi, if it's a thin sketchbook paper (90-110 GSM) I will iron it, if it's thicker, like this one (it's 265 GSM) then I will just press it down with a heavy book
