So if they're not going to properly reward you for taking detrimental orders (less than $1/mile and/or $2 orders), the very least they could do is not punish you for declining them. Since as I said, they clearly know they're detrimental to you. It's completely fair of them to "punish" you for declining $1+/mile orders though.

DoorDash needs to make changes in contract violations if Dasher receives a contract violation and it’s the restaurant fault we should not even be receiving that contract violation. Example Customer receive wrong food and a sealed bag that has the customers name on it. Also for hand to deliveries, we should not have to wait five minutes before being able to take the picture. If the customer doesn’t answer the door, we should immediately be able to take our picture and move on.
@brianbeecher3084

For late deliveries they should bring back the post-delivery prompt where we could give feedback and document a reason for late arrivals. There shouldn’t even be a CV for lateness unless driver was just goofing off, especially if customer was notified of that issue. On deactivation, strike system should be initiated to deal with infractions Maybe three day suspension for first offense, seven days for second, and permanent deactivation if the third strike occurs. One strike deactivation should only be used for, say, acts of violence.

Doordash needs to implement an algorithm that learns what drivers will and will not accept. When a veteran driver has a 10% AR. That's the driver telling DD their orders are garbage. As far as safety nothing is more frustrating than navigating traffic and constantly having to be distracted and tapping your phone decline.... decline... decline... decline. One option let drivers have the option to not be sent any order under $6 or any order over 7 miles or orders that dp nothing but take drivers out of their zone. Bottom line DD is still garbage passing garbage orders to desperate people barely making a profit after cost of operating a car much less time and labor and effort.

There is an employee at a particular popular restaurant that gives her coworkers, drivers and hard time. She will hold the order behind the counter to fuss at you purposely slowing people down. In my area the illegal immigrants took over the platform. They're getting most and the better orders. They have several phones probably cherry picking. No background checks no real names. Took a pic of a SUV driving around with an Uber decal in his window with no license plates. So if you're getting no orders are crap orders from these apps that's probably why.

I just want DD to limit delivery distances to 8 miles from the store. These customers will order from more local establishments if they are forced to. It's especially bad in the more suburban and rual areas where a 10 mile trip often means the drive back isn't ever paid for, often times making the entire round trip less than what the IRS says is break even.

I completely agree that there should be more than what is currently 9 Dashers on the community council. They currently require DCC members participate in a once-a-month 90 minute video conference during the 6 months they serve. Anybody who has ever sat in a corporate meeting can tell you 90 minutes is not long enough to accomplish anything. Maybe increasing that time might lead to better addressing and quicker implementation of constantly evolving policies and procedures.

I’m in South Orange County, been Dashing for 4 years. I beg to differ with your opinion that DoorDash is fizzling out on the west coast and hardly doing business. I’m busy when my app is on, of course I’m dashing during the typical busy times, 11-2 lunch, 5-9 dinner, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Not sure where you were specifically that gave you the impression that they were phasing out operations on the west coast due to lack of business.

If they do decisions on the majority of dashers which are probably 5 to 10 hours a week. Then why is the dasher rewards 100 deliveries in a rolling 30 days. That's not favorable to those dashers at all.

They need to screen the drivers better. Just like uber need to verify picture of your face. It should be your own car with your own insurance and driver license. All tied to one driver. How are some of these people getting passed a back ground check?

Seems like a pretty good puff piece for DoorDash to tell us what they've done. Yet, most of what they've done isn't really that much of a game changer. --- What would be really interesting is that if DoorDash quit wasting money on perks and nonsense and just paid the drivers more people would be happy.

DD can start by offering the ability for Drivers to request DD to not send them to certain areas or stores. Little Ceasers and Dollar Stores would be first on my list.

They have took over my area. Today I saw one of them driving a car that I honestly couldn’t believe they were using that car to deliver food. Crashed extremely bad, no front bumper, passengers side was so smashed that the door didn’t work, he had a girl in the back seat driving around with him because she couldn’t sit in the front since the door didn’t work 😂. If I ordered food and someone showed up like that to my house I would be extremely turned off.

Ha ha ha...Door dash not care about dashers, they expect you to take low ball orders and do not want to pay you more than 2.00 per delivery, if you don't accept orders, they drop your acceptance rate, which will affect the types of orders you will see. Forcing customers to TIP higher so Door dash does not have to pay as much is not right. There should be high pay on the orders.

Let drivers set a distance from restaurants and stores to customers maximum. Let drivers set a minimum pay per order. Of course, they would need forced to do such a thing. How quickly they would have to do hard work to properly run a delivery business.
@Loveaintreal

@ryanalter9256

@Loveaintreal with respect, not at all. They would have plenty of drivers set max mileage high and minimum pay low to stay busiest. Furthermore, I envision it as an available function, not everyone would even mess with, everything would be the same as it is for them. If it gained traction, they would need to balance customer costs, to the business expenses. It could conceivably eliminate a large percentage of orders that neither profitable to them nor to us. Long distance orders may need to be larger in size for fulfillment. Frankly, the vast majority of markets have enough variety within far more reasonable distances.

They need to stop treating the OGs like trash with these new programs, someone that been with company for 6 years should not be getting the orders noobs are, and vice versa if they are on the road active on the platform, or having to get locked out of dash now because stuff is out of stock and gotta bounce because its not worth anyone's time when they are one forces these places to be out of stock. They need to be making teir for drivers that like 10k+ deliveries and so on instead of this BS they are rolling out now.

I wish they would have a Doorbell preference for Customers because like 1/5 the customers expect you to ring it, then like 1/5 HATE if you ever ring it, so i just never ring it unless instructed but i wouldn't mind either its just a big big thing people DO NOT specify but occasionally care a lot about. Good changes if its true. My main reason for ditching my Red Card is simply because i cannot turn it on and off, not because i never want to shop. I like the Facial recognition but failed it once, i like that its there but compared to all the other ones i've used Doordashes is sketchy, or at least bad for people with larger beards maybe?

Here is an idea .... how about DoorDash pass on the Delivery Fee to those that are actually performing the deliveries. DD has no employees on staff that perform deliveries so whjy are they keeping the Delivery fee and not passing it on to the Dashers? Delivery Fees are charged to help offset the costs incurred in performing those deliveries so it should be passed on to the Dasher doing the delivery. $5.00 delivery fee period across the board plus the paltry $2.00 DD offering equals a $7.00 base pay for all orders. Trash orders will be far less under this format. THAT is what I want to see.

Doordash should have the ability to allow a dasher to see exactly how many orders would it take to raise your A.R. if you decline an order. Example, if I'm at 80%, and I decline an order and drop to 79%, at that time, how many orders will I need to do to get it back to an 80%. Also, they need to stop putting a + (plus) on an order if it is going to be the same amount on your completed order. Example, $6 + comes up on an offer, you take it, then when you deliver it and hit complete, you only see $6 for your pay for that offer. Why put the + (plus)???? If it is just going to be the same, why put the + (plus)????
