Great review as always. Thanks for flagging this new drop from tomtoc. I love the Wander T-26 for busy days, but I have been looking for a good true 3-4L sling for regular days. Just one question, why do you think the sling would not work well as a crossbody? I prefer to use my slings messenger style most of the time. Thanks!

I have the original tomtoc sling, and the only downside with this new bag is that it still has the same small pockets in the front. They should have copied Bellroy’s new bags and put a vertical separator to have two decent sized pockets. Which would you recommend personally, Evergoods CAS2 or this bag? (3.5 version)

Nice slings. I really wish Tomtoc would start introducing some slash resistant straps in their designs for those of us that need/want it. I don't need locking zippers on a sling, but I do need a slash resistant strap, and it seems like Pacsafe is the only game in town. Tomtoc is missing out on a market angle for sure.
@Nomads.Nation
20 күн бұрын
I hear ya but Tomtoc's value prop is more on affordability, not safety/security (which is Pacsafe's game). But agreed that it's a feature many people like BUTT slash-proof straps are not quite as comfy as regular straps due to the material needed, so many people who aren't concerned about safety don't like them... tough to find a balance lol

I just don't really get the small slings. Like it just seems to solve the same problem my pockets are solving. One of the important things that I want in a sling is to have the capacity for an umbrella and a water bottle, things that I need but can't keep in my pockets. What I really like about the 3.5L here is that its soft so if it's not filled up then it's not that bulky, but you have the option to fully deck it out with all your needs. Think I might pick this one up!
@Nomads.Nation
2 ай бұрын
To me you nailed it - it solves the same problem so I don’t have to carry anything in my pockets. They are essentially pocket relievers so all I have to do is carry my wallet in my front pocket, then my sunglasses, AirPods, gum, keys, and phone can all be carried in the sling (which feels much better than stuffed pockets imo)

correct, to be a perfectly comfortable chest bag (as the name indicates) the straps coming in at an angle go a LONG way. If you want a sling that can double as a fanny, it won't fit as well on your chest (but can also double up, so a pro and a con to everything!)
