Brilliant !! I'me 45 and grew up on this stuff, your description is spot on' you would have loved the 70s & 80s, great to see the kids can appreciate proper music still today! Have a listen to some of the stuff on my channel, some of the best tracks , in my opinion, ever made, ear candy as opposed to ear cancer ! Educate your mates! Plenty of artists still making this stuff, you just gotta know where to find it!

Longevity in musical groups mean everything...The Dells, Rolling Stones, Kool and The Gang, Four Tops, etc. Not many groups/bands stay together with same personnel for years and years. Check it out most of us can't stay in romantic relationships or marriages too long. My sister (who was not a big New Edition fan but got FREE tickets) went to their show a few years ago in Norfolk, Va. but she came back a fan and even took her grown kids to see them the next time they came in the area. These cats are dynamite all 6 (with Bobby Brown).

Unfortunately the prevailing mentality, particularly in urban communities is such that love has become synonymous with weakness. It is my opinion, perhaps from personal experience, that we become anti -love, or haters of love because of feeling the emotional vulnerability that love brings. Prior negative experiences with love ranging from being cheated on to dropped for another often make people hate the entire exercise of emotionally tying oneself voluntarily to another. Men are often defined by their ability to not feel and to appear emotionless. This makes women objects to be collected, used, or otherwise pimped for money, sex, and or pieces of themselves used to make men feel good. I have taught my son that loving a woman is not weak. It is truly a strong man who can be hurt by love and use that pain to fuel himself into loving again. This person conquers the fear of the unknown and accepts the potential for future pain in exchange for the possibility of finding lasting love. He who loves nothing, has nothing, is nothing.
@ShawnieEllis

It is so refreshing to hear this. I often feel I'll never meet someone, that being in love doesnt...I dont know how to put it, like its out of reach for someone like me.
@frankwill4093
8 жыл бұрын
Shawnie every woman wants to be loved by a man. The fact that you still accept this desire is the beginning of a recipe for finding true love. Most love fails because it is misunderstood and not maintained. Being in love is like being in good physical shape, if one doesn't work to stay there, their condition/love becomes weak. Be encouraged and know that some men do want love and want to be loved. Women must stop falling in love with the wrong man. Men should be judged by the obvious, their concept of love, relationship with their mother, prior experiences with women, and most importantly "how they treat their woman." You'll find a good loving man if you use they days leading up to it to make yourself better at it. Women waste a lifetime looking for a husband and spend no time preparing to be a good wife.

+frank will I truly love your response. It is the utter truth. Many people in society no longer see love as something that should be cherished, but rather just a word that can simply be tossed around to obtain a good or service that they desire to receive from another. True love is lasting and yes we must all conquer the hurt of the past in order to receive it. However it is a gift worth waiting for.

The days when you could turn on the radio and hear nothing but great music like this. Todays music is total garbage. Now I listen to XM radio, Heart and Soul channel. I absolutely love this song. It does something to me. In my opinion, New Edition's all time best song they have ever recorded.
