this is SO great, shannon! i had watched it previously, but i'm closer to doing my wiring now and this is such a wonderful resource. had you done wiring before? any books (or other resources) you'd recommend? thanks!

Hey, sorry for the slow reply. I'm not getting my notices. I didn't have any solid experience with electrical but access to a couple people with a lot of experience. They got me started and then let me bug them with questions. Got a lot of info from KZitem and most everything I have connected came with real good instructions.

Guessing you don't use batteries to power/charge the 12v receptacles? I don't see a + - going to the fuse panel.

Hi, with this setup are you not able to run any of your 120v circuits off of battery power/when you aren't connected to shore power? It looks like the only thing that is wired to the AC Out on the inverter is your fridge so that would be the only 120v item receiving power when not on shore power. Correct? I'm going to get the PD4560KV option of the same power center you have. and trying to see if there is a way to energize the 120v AC panel part of the device when not on shore power and using battery power.

Hi Ashten. Your correct the only thing plug durectly to the inverter full time is the fridge bu i can plug something else into that outlet or directly into the inverteor if need be. So far that has not been an issue for me but i still plan to upgrade to a 2000w or 3000w and the i will wire all 120 through it. For now when im off shore power i have 12v or propane backup for the things i would normally plug in. The original inverter was what fit the budget.

Great video! I'm about to copy this on my airstream. What kind of control panel did you use that your batteries were hooked to?

Glad you liked it. If what you're asking is the AC/DC control panel then I think it's the progressive dynamics 4045. I'm pretty sure I bought it from www.vintagetrailersupply.com Good luck with your airstream, I hope to do another one soon

@@mildredmabelme Sorry, I'm referring to what you mention at 12:30. You have a cable going from the positive on your battery through a fuse and then to a control panel? I assumed that's something to give you a read on how full your battery is? I went with the progressive dynamics 4500 series, it's pretty intimidating!

@@matthewgow2891 oh, the cable going through the small fuse is going to the control panel and the other 100 watt fuse is going to the inverter

Thanks for this. I JUST started my 77 sovereign Reno. I have quite a mess of wires at the front and love what you’ve done. Can you provide a “buy list”? I’m in Canada and right now (Covid) has really slowed down shipping. So planning ahead with my purchases would help.

So the red wires on the fuse side is just for a visual distinction between 30a and 15a wires?

Hi. It will depend on where you are park. Rv spots at camp grounds and parks will have a 30 or 50amp tower for you to plug into
