Hello Tom. This is the first time I have commented and tried to say hello, but I have been subscribed to your YT channel for a while. I would just like to say that I was in the U.S. Federal prison 2010- 2016 ( I like guns :-) but the government does not like that ). At Coleman USP 2 in Florida 2015, I was good friends with James " Whitey " Bulger from the movie Black Mass. Your compositions for the score of Black Mass is the best thing about that movie. You truly made a masterpiece of that score. I listen to it all the time. I even told Whitey Bulger how good it was before he was murdered in October 2018. In the future... I may be part of a production about Whitey Bulger which would be like a prequel and a sequel to Black Mass. It would be perfect if that production could use that score as a continuity with Black Mass. I don't know the legal copyrights with WB and Scott Copper with that, but we will talk about it when or if that time comes. I also think you recycle and re a ranged that score for the movie Hostiles that came out 2017. It's also a Scott Cooper movie. Awesome. Keep up the awesome work Tom. Leon Swan is my name with the Lion face on " Zuckerberg's F book ". Friend me.

How do you decide when to use FX (Reverb, Delay, etc) from your rack vs from your DAW? Or do you always rely on the ones from the rack in those cases?

Thanks for taking the time to make all these videos. The cable colouring makes a lot of sense. If I'd be working with a massive rack like this I would probably try to hide wires that are permanently connected. Modules from Voltage vibes or tubbutec allow you to have cables behind your modules. You would need more shorter cables, but would not have 8 longer cables hanging in front of the displays of the zadars for example. Look forward to your next videos. Vriendelijke groeten uit Canada.

Hi Tom, thanks for having us with you! One thing I'm particularly interested in, is clock distribution and dealing with midi device latency. That's a severe problem in my own studio, since all my sequencers bring back triggers (note on's) with different delays. Even two of the same model behave differently. Do you use a Multiclock or do you fix these issues after recording? Are you fine with the not so stable midi clock, coming directly from Cubase? How do you manage these things? So many questions... Would be great if you find the time to make a video about this subject!

When sound design is the name of the game, people might think its all about creating custom VSTs. Hardly. Beyond all the filters & effects there is the raw dynamic behavior input, of which velocity is just one characteristic. Enter Junkie XL’s wet-dreamboard of envelope & dynamics chicanery, where no amount of digital emulation dare tread.

Mate, if your midi going through your erica sequencers are coming from an audio interface via USB or something like that you might experience heavy midi jittering. Try looking some expert sleepers Usamo or ES3/ES5 combo that gets in your interface via ADAT giving you extra outputs. The goal is to have midi going through audio, MIDI via usb or via usb interface will never be able to be not jittery even at 24ppqn
