Omg i remember that nightmare. I ordered pace setters from summit cause that's all i could afford. Passenger side bolted right on. 3 days later i finally got the drivers side on. I rode around for 2 days after that in my Ole 69 on straight headers. You couldn't slap the smile off my face 😂😂

Yes, get rid of the X-pipe, they kill sound, that's just what they do. Back in the day the OE used a simple H pipe config and that was just to 'balance' the exhaust pressure. Going without an H or X completely, gives the best sound in my opinion. You don't really need it or will see the difference except for prolonged operation (circle track or road course racing). I get the feeling it's a lot LOUDER than on camera... (i've ran race bullets like those....lol) Sounds damn good though!

Wow, I can't believe how both of those set of headers pointed at the transmission!😯 Sounds great and looks better without all the clearance denting. Any plans for any kind of header coating or paint? Great job guys.😎👍

I can relate with the clearance issues with headers. It's tight and especially with 3 inch. I think its a lot better honestly, and I'd be happy with that. I can't put it to words but it is missing that radical tone now. Did you put the cam in your truck yet?

@@CCAutoWorks Sounds like a good deal to me if it looks good to you condition wise. It's such a perfect base for boost. The stock bottom end is already built really tough. There are a few differences in stock rods that determine strength/weakness at 600hp but no problem when building from scratch. Same with setting up oil pressure and capacity. From what I've read on Whipple and Magnuson you can put a supercharger on a stock setup and get 150hp safely. To begin with I'm putting a stage 1 high lift truck cam in mine, Melling stanard pressure oil pump, beehive springs, and shortblock gasket and seal replacement. I may go with stronger bolts as I remove them, and I'm thinking about going with a performance single timing chain kit. I also want to keep it fuel injected. Basically you don't need a stroker 6.0 with top of the line parts to get 550-600hp. Which is so awesome compared to the 351 Windsor even though it will always have a special place in my heart haha.

@@CCAutoWorks Yes I have and people seem to be well pleased with it. A stock 6.0 needs a cam swap bad no matter what. To be frank with you I didn't know truck cams even existed other than rv cams. I got the Summit truck stage 1 high lift hoping it tunes easier/better torque taking off, and helps with fuel economy, all the while squeezing a little higher rpm power. I will admit, you are way more skilled with cams and engine building in general than I am. So pray for me as I tear into all this LS madness! Do a short if you decide to get the 6.0 block.
