It's comforting for her to have an instructor riding along. I assume this is an older train model?

Two-handle vehicles are the basics, and if you don't learn this, you won't be able to drive any other vehicle.

From the number plate put on driver's console, it is an old model. The train featured in this video is Nagoya Railroad (Meitetsu) 6500 series electric multiple unit (EMU), first introduced in 1984 as a altered version of 6000 series EMU with different front design and several minor changes within both exterior and interior.
Really nice point of view, but i have a couple of questions -What it is the the panel with the green light on the top right of the dashboard?(Some kind of signal relay??) - why are they pointing at things?

-What it is the the panel with the green light on the top right of the dashboard?(Some kind of signal relay??) 1: It is thought that this is a lamp to indicate that the radio signal that signals the abnormality of the train in question is turned on. - why are they pointing at things? This is a confirmation that the system is working properly. Failure to check can lead to accidents.

1. It's most likely part of TE (Emergency Device) that would detect accident and broadcast STOP order thru radio to trains in area as part of safety precaution. 2. It's called Pointing and Calling procedure which drivers point to any visual cues such as signals, wayside indication, track condition, gauges, and timetables to confirm and act accordingly.
