Join Wendy Perring and Ricky Evans, from PAD studio, for this webinar in which they share details of a decade long study of an eco-house they completed 13 years ago.
Located in a highly protected Site of Specific Scientific Interest, PAD studio evaluated (and funded) the energy performance of New Forest House, a timber clad woodland home. Interestingly, the thermal mass strategy at New Forest House contradicted what many low-carbon architecture advocates believed around the turn of the 2010s. Hear why.
Speakers: Wendy Perring was the founding partner of PAD studio and has previously acted as a studio tutor at several academic institutions including the University of Portsmouth and Oxford Brookes and as an RIBA Part III External Examiner. Wendy is currently a panel member on Design South East (DSE), and regularly reviews Paragraph 80 and other high-profile planning applications and has been the invited jury chair and judge on the RIBA Awards panel in both 2016 and 2020/21.
Ricky Evans has worked at PAD studio since 2010 and leads PAD studio’s Post Occupancy Evaluation research and development program. Ricky has been a visiting tutor and critic at the University of Portsmouth.
