I really like making them too. They are never as popular as my shawls but I can't resist sometimes.

Great mitts and yes, I can see that join line and my crafting OCD wouldn't let me leave that line not even on both hands, lol.

It's subtle and totally wouldn't bother ... ahem .... normal .... people LOL. But I couldn't handle it. That's why I gave options in the pattern.

I love this pattern! I totally understand about procrastination. Thankfully, I procrastinate the worst on projects for myself. I have a blanket for a full-size bed that I started back in, I believe, 1981 or 82 for myself. Then Christmas came. I wanted to make gifts. Then I moved a couple of times. You know, life happens. When I get back into my own place (I'm beginning to feel like it's an if; it's been two years this month). One of my top priorities is to finally finish my afghan. We'll see how well that works out. 😁 Thanks again for another wonderful pattern and video, Barbara. I always enjoy seeing what you're making or teaching us about.

I am so glad you like the mitts. Honestly, I feel like this wandered out of procrastination and into executive dysfunction. I simply couldn't bring myself to work on them for the longest time.

They're also good for cold offices. When I was in an office setting my hands were always cold, regardless of the season.

Thank you for this pattern and discount. I’ve been looking to do a fingerless mitt that’s simple but without all the cutting and changing yarn. This is just perfect.

Good eyes, Barbara! Making a right and left thumb makes this a top notch pattern! I am curious if you ever ask for test knitters?

I do not currently use test knitters, it just doesn't fit with my work flow. But maybe some day?

When I was learning to knit my sibling was obsessed with my seed stitch swatch so I might just have to make this for them. I think Lamana Como would be a great fit for this pattern - it comes in 25g skeins, which should give me just enough room to avoid the looming threat of the yarn chicken. Probably also a great stashbuster. I'm still a fairly inexperienced knitter, but the different handedness strikes me as very sophisticated craftmanship - as you say, most people wouldn't have even noticed

You'll need about 50 g of each color just FYI. The yarn I used comes in 100 g skeins.

When the cowl is done, will you offer the mitts and cowl as a pattern set? I have so many project lined up, I would love to do them but I can wait. ha ha ha
