@rcexpatshk

The balance lead is a little bit too fiddly for me to fix if I could. I suggest you take it to your nearest battery disposal ctr and dispose of it. Some hobby stores will dispose for you in HK. Sparks is not a good sign so get rid asap …

Hi, I don't understand why everyone keeps talking about a Short Curse Truck (SCT) when it's a Trophy Truck (TT). SCTs do not come with spare wheels because they are also intended for small distances/courses. Although in the V2 the truck has the chassis of an SCT rather than a TT due to the low suspension travel at the rear. I gave it slightly longer dampers at the rear (originally about 30 mm of suspension travel and the wheels rub heavily on the body), so it looks more like a real TT and now has a good 40 mm of suspension travel and the wheels extend to the body also a good 5 mm of space. That makes it a really cool UDR-Mini, in my opinion

I have 1 on the way. You made my final decision. I have 2 Mojave groms they are sct's not desert trucks like the baja rey or the udr. I love how my baja rey handles terrain at speed and a 1/18 scale of that will be fun. TYVM

How’s it going my friend! Great review too. I also have both the Arrma and the V1 of the 3100a . I really like both cars a lot. The brushless motor in this is smooth and goes pretty nice, about the same speed as the grom w/ 2s. The ability to run on 3s at almost 35mph is nice tho. Both handle very well on both on road and off road conditions. Like you said, it’s hard to beat the realistic handling and performance hbx 3100a . Now if hbx could make a clip less body shell, they would be on top for sure!I really enjoyed this, 🔟🔟🔟🍻😝

@@BangForYourBuckRc hey Robby! Absolutely agree, a clipless body would be awesome. In this day and age it’s not hard to do anymore as the ideas are already out there . I have yet to run the 3100a v2 on 3s as I don’t have batteries to fit . But I think it’s sufficient on 2s tbh. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed ! I always appreciate your comments and support buddy.

I gave a 3100a v1 to my son. I hope this time they went with a PC body and not a PVC. The PVC body is pretty useless, we went through 3 of them. The suspension is really cool, however I found that the car was a bit narrow. It flips over very easily. I ended up selling it, and gave him a LC Racing SCT instead. Its a better handling rig also with PC body. But I still like the HBX 3100a, it is fun, I just don't know if I would buy one again
@rcexpatshk

I actually make it a habit of at least adding duct tape to the inside of the body. Not only does it prevent wheel rub but also helps keep the body last a little longer. In fact this method has held up on the PVC body of the Rlaarlo terminator so far and that gets bashed. All luck of the draw however. I understand that sometimes the slightest knock can shatter your pvc body. LC racing are another great brand. They’ve been quiet last couple years with no new product at all. 🤔 Thanks for watching, appreciate the comment

Besides the addition of gyro, aren't the shocks also different? V1 had blue accents and these are all Gray, with white springs, right? I wonder if it's just cosmetic or if there is something different quality wise or oil weight. Urs didn't seem overly bouncy like the v1 seemed to be. Great video! Can't imagine you don't have more subscribers!!! One post to Arrma Army or Grom page should have you lit up!

Interesting, the rear axle and the gyro receiver. Just to say I clocked my brushed Typhon Grom at 22 mph. My Q117 and others make 32 MPH out of the box on 2S so I don't know why his brushless is so slow. Also I belive it was a Haiboxing "3S capable" that I sent back to Amazon for not, even, having enough battery space for a normal 2S much less 3S. It has some weird little clip-in the size of your fingertip and no modification imaginable.
