I have loved Honda for many years, I started with a 2004 Accord, had a 2004 and 2009 Civic, my wife blessed our family by choosing the Jazz of which we had 3… I was all ready to get a 2016ish civic estate last year for our growing family, until a work promotion offered me a company car (although it had to be a Skoda…). I wish Honda would consider a civic estate again, if I were still choosing and buying my cars, I don’t see the point in an SUV like the crv, but I need an estate… I will return to Honda, maybe getting a jazz for my wife (to replace her diesel Smax which is overkill for us now), but I do miss the civic… a lot.

Honda Australia has absolutely screwed itself. It's gone to an agency model (no negotiating between dealers) We only get the top of the range non hybrid (not the Type R) meaning it's turned away a huge chunk of the civic customer base. And to top it off, in Australia, it's the same price as a Hyundai i30N Performance So in about 12 to 24 months time, Honda will pull out of Australia. But there were some small things I was missing, ventilators for the back passengers checked, panorama roof checked! I never been so excited about some car like I’m now. I just hope that the powertrain and engine will not disappoint. I pray Honda did find and gave the Civic some punch compared to other electrified vehicles like Jazz, CR-V not just on the paper but in the real ride. An excellent car for sure. I've had 2 Civics over the years and they are very reliable and have great MPG. All passengers should be hybrids or full EV. The hybrid technology has been around for over 100 years (if you really want to get technical about it) but the last 20 years has seen huge technological advances in Hybrid tech. I drive a 6 year old luxury hybrid that gets 27 in the city and 36 on the highway - and it weighs over 4000 lbs. The styling is soooooooo much better than the previous monstrosity. In a way it seems as if Honda over-balanced a bit back into the safe zone, so while this is a really pretty car it seems a bit bland. Bland (in a good way) if you compare it to the overt techno-machismo stance of the previous model. So this is pretty, but they could have been a little bit more adventurous - something I hope they add to the Type R when that one comes out. But Honda, please please please don't drown it in spoilers... I also hope they think of bringing out a few all-electric versions - a normal version with some trim-level changes to spice things up, and a bonkers "Type E" to show the world it's OK to: "Let it all hang out" (C)(tm) (batteries included)

We have 2 10th Gen Civic hatchbacks one is manual 6-speed and the other CVT. The build quality is pretty good, and the interior especially feels spacious with lots of room in front seats and comfortable seats as well overall. The car also has a low sitting position (10mm lower to the ground than the mk9 gen) and its larger in size. The CVT is smooth and better than other cvts found in general, and my mum can drive it as well. But I personally like the manual short throw gearbox, it feels nice and sporty especially the sitting posture and wonderful handling the car has, the car can also fully turn (steering) in one circle of the steering wheel instead of 2 times doing it like most cars which makes it very manuverable in mini roundabouts and parking etc. The best thing is it has a lot of kit as standard which is normally found in high trim levels to its competitors like the Golf, the adaptive cruise control is very helpful in traffic as it slows down on its own and speeds up assessing the vehicle in the front, instead of manually adjusting the cruise speed up and down in motorways like in normal cruise. Lane assistance, auto brake-hold, auto full beam blip when its too dark, apple car play and android auto + reads the speed limits and signs on the road and the driver's display is clear + all digital. Only thing is the infotainment system isn't the best but you can just use android auto or connect by bluetooth etc. and its fine. I think the car is excellent value for money and the looks grow on you the more you keep it, the engine is also punchy and good to drive. The 1L Vtec Turbo is so well refined, it provides the same power as a 1.8 found in worldwide models. Its one of the the best 1L engines providing 130bhp which is amazing considering a 1L size (honda says they really tried to make it as efficient as possible) I think the car is excellent value for money and you may quite like it after you test drive one, but the new one also looks great and promising with the mileage as its hybrid :) but the mk10 is a great civic honestly speaking. It really does what you need it to do and the back claw rear lights look great glowing in the night ✅🔥

It's a bit disappointing to be honest, honda used to make sports cars or cars that could be modified into being sports cars, this is the end of an era. Climate change has ruined honda. It's time to move onto hyundai

@@f181234 Type R? Si? Maybe you don’t consider them sports cars but I do. And even some of the standard civics could be tuned to provide that kind of performance and great handling.

This is really the replacement for the accord. And the civic should be a little hot hatch.

Looks a bit tame, personality prefer the previous Civic, which looks more aggressive and sporty, it didn't need restyling. I find this with Car manufacturers, they just restyle to get people to upgrade thinking their getting something better, but often it isn't a better design. But I would say the rear is tidier.

This generation of modified civics are alot more classier or clean compared to last gen, especially since everyone going with yofer designs.

I’ve owned most of the recent civic hatchbacks and love my 10th generation suffice the over fussy looks. The 11th addresses much of these criticisms but retains the good bits under the skin plus a power train. Hope to get more details on the hybrid power train and the rumoured Type R less fussy comic design

I am curious about the engine. I test drove the H-RV with that 1.5 130 hp engine and it almost put me to sleep. I understand lower emission standards and less pollution but still cars such as these deserve an engine that can put a smile on your face once in a while.

Nooooo they ruined back again, this ugly back looks like the ugly previous hatchback generation Come on The normal 2022 Honda finally looked like a sedan. Why change the EV version back, for aerodynamics dumb excuse. Nooooo😱 Also the type r is ugly garbage and underperfoming for the price. Why does it have to be a hatchback for teenagers sigh But ah well, Honda is lucky to get a review on this channel that reviews the best cars

The previous gen was "filippino" in its style and taste (i.e. the South eastern population of expats adored it). This one is plain and boring. A step in the right direction but nothing to write home about. The cockpit tho is quite nice even if a step in the opposite direction from the European competitors and their all-screens approach.
@silviannistor

Interior is brilliant, no all screen is a huge step! Europe is all style over function, wich is beyond idiotic in a daily driver. Exterior is boring asf, i liked the old one better (regular, not typeR). This one looks like is the older model compared to that ;))

I wish they released the hybrid powertrain in the US. Not doing so feels like a failure on Honda's part. I'm a millennial and just about everyone my age that I know is considering a hybrid for their next car. Also those rear seat vents on the back of the center console. The US version only gets floor vents in the rear.

Having spent a lot of seat time in the new US model hatch, there's quite a few key differences between it and the EU spec. I'm mostly left wishing the US spec had the adaptive beam headlamps and heated steering wheel options.

The US spec Civics actually went up about 10,000 in price on account of lots more tech in them like the drivers aids. Also it was designed in Japan. So overall I think it went too far with tech and gyzmos
