Those are badass lizards. They look like they're related to tegus but I didn't see a forked tongue. Florida definitely doesn't need them running around. You could make a trap with a female stuck in a closed part.

That’s basically how invasive pythons are caught. A male is caught and GPS tagged and it leads right to a female which are VERY evasive.

I hate to say it but I think they should really just stop people having exotic pets in Florida for a while. That would prevent any new species being released and would allow the state to deal with the current problem of the exploding populations of invasive species. Otherwise your never going to see the end of new invasive species.

All God's Creation, roams all the earth. Nothing is really invasive. If we realize that the earth used to be one big continent, not a bunch of separate land masses, then technically nothing would be an invasive species. Unless we are putting a timeline on the specific animals that were native. But we really don't know all the animals that existed and when, as it is. We have a good idea maybe of a lot of them in our records. But we are always finding new things and adding so there is that as well. In conclusion, what really is native or invasive? I suppose to our area in the modern sense some may be considered. But maybe they don't identify as invasive. 😂

You’re part of the problem. They are eating native green anoles. If you don’t know what that is, it’s a lizard. These lizards aren’t supposed to be in south Florida and they aren’t eating bugs. They’re eating the native lizards that eat bugs.
@davisdowell1986
3 жыл бұрын
They could screw up the eco system. Translation: If they eat too much of one bug, another will begin to overpopulate because the lack of competition or a natural predator. They're adorable, but they'd be healthier and more helpful in their natural habitat.

Did he say he can't show the bait or he won't show the bait. Was curious if it was because of maybe something that people wouldn't like or he doesn't want nobody else to catch these because he is selling them. Just wondering because if there invasive and everyone is so concerned about getting rid of all invasive species he should share it. If not he's selling them right back to people who will probably just let them righ back go when in the wild when they can't take care of them anymore or don't want them. Sorry I see he makes money trapping. But still more people working to het rid of all these invasive the better
