Absolutely ripping. Glad you had a great time at MCPB.

First off excellent riding. You carry so much speed! I have a Megatower that originally had a Fox 36 and the flex was noticeable to me especially at rocky steep spots. I don't even weigh that much so it's rare for me to feel that kind of stuff. The Fox 38 is on a whole differen't level of stiff IMO.

Yeah I'm definitely considering going to back to a ZEB, I loved it on my Meta.

I love this place but the new trail crew needs to step up their game. Domboo is riddled with pits and braking bumps and rocks in all the wrong places, Alpine is too slippery, and the new lower greenhorn is just boring. The lower part of tempest is also not in great shape anymore. On super dry and sunny days I see people crashing left and right. At least black trails not touched by beginners are always smooth

Haven’t been there in about 20 years. Looks nice. Powerhouse of a little place. Whatever happened to Plattekill? That was the real deal in early DH , late 90s big bike tech riding.

@@AustinSheidy the original king of north east 99-2000 early DH technical riding. Really small one lift mountain at the time. The owner let locals cut whatever trails they wanted while the big corporate mountains were concerned about other factors and late to the game on the rise of the gravity element of MTB. Legend place for destroying equipment, brutal trails and loose shale rock on trails.

@@mobilewintercamp7515 is it still around?

@@AustinSheidy I have no idea that’s why I was asking if it’s still around. I don’t gravity ride anymore and my saddle time is not what it used to be. I’m wanting to step it up a bit and have been watching videos. I hear nothing about it. I wouldn’t be surprised if the mountain shut down completely considering the size and ski industry issues in the north east

@@mobilewintercamp7515 a quick Google search shows that they're still around for winter sports but no mtb.

Not trusting the berms on Domboo is an insanely smart call, haha. Worst trail at Creek, in my opinion. Trails just blown out and some of the berms jsut don’t work cause of how steep it is. Excellent riding brother, making it look like easy. Mad respect for sending the Road to Nowhere drop, that may be the sketchiest thing on the mountain lol Also, if you haven’t ridden Monarch before, definitely add it to the list when you go back, probably the most underrated/underused trail there. There’s also a little “secret” trail off to the side of Breakout’s lower section, too that’s been a blast to ride.

I personally love Domboo and I think the berms are very nice once you have ridden them a few times but I definitely see where your coming from

@@B_on_marin just personal preference, i think it comes down to there’s that or alpine to get down from where you are. Crap shoot and slayer are tough trails. So, domboo and alpine just get sooo blown out.

It's a lot of fun when the dirt is good and the braking bumps aren't too heavy. But on this specific day it was both rough and loose. It was a tough combo for me not being warmed up haha

Great riding! Creek is my local Mtn, love it. The tech is what draws me there, and yeah, not a fan of Domboo! LOL

Nice riding, The Creek is the real deal, I stopped riding my trail bike at bike parks cuz it was getting trashed and got a DH bike. Now I can ride for a few weeks with a clean and chain oil, I find the wheels need to be trued ever month too but that if I’m riding several times a week. Heading east will be hitting all the parks on the East coast but The Creek is a must.

Sounds kinda like your low speed compression is too low if you're sitting too low on flowy stuff.
