Let's play a game: How many things will Natalie declutter when she puts all the things back in her NEW kitchen? ;) I love how you keep finding things to give away, Natalie. It inspires me to keep on decluttering without feeling guilty about passing on stuff that I thought I needed but actually don't.

I was thinking the same thing. I love how intentful Natalie is with her decluttering and having things serve a purpose. It's taught me to be more mindful. I've given thing back to my mom or given to my sister's kids as they are young and starting their adult lives. ❤️❤️

Natalie, I discovered your channel a couple weeks ago, and I am LOVING all your content! 😊💜 Your family is adorable, and I love how real and honest you are. Your take on minimalism is so refreshing! You inspired me to do a big declutter this past weekend, and it felt fantastic! I watched all your closet clean out videos and then tackled my own! You helped me feel brave enough to let go of clothes from my old professional life that I was hanging on to out of fear. Now I feel refreshed and am focusing on who I want to be right now. Love to you and your family, thank you for all the inspiration! xoxo

I feel the same way! My husband and I recently bought our first home, and I constantly just sit and look around in disbelief of how blessed we are to be able to buy a home and have a home we love. I can’t wait to see the new kitchen! It’s going to be gorgeous, I just know. On another note, I remember when I moved into my first apartment as a single mom. I had moments where I felt I didn’t deserve to have a cute place, with an ocean view. It was true, I didn’t deserve it. That’s the beauty of God’s gifts that He bestows on us. We don’t earn His gifts. He gives freely because He loves us. God has blessed you with this new home, and I hope when you look at it, you are reminded in a tangible way that God loves YOU Natalie! ❤️

2 tips to go a step further and also to help you! You can declutter the toaster and just use the oven for toast. Then you don't have the extra appliance that's a crumb magnet so-to-speak. Next, even if you are past the return window on Amazon, all you have to do is chat with an Amazon rep and typically they can still make an exception. Especially, if the product that you got was defective (or was the wrong one as in your case) they will credit your account and tell you not even to send the incorrect product back. This is a great way to save money and not have that money lost due to neglect of returning items which is super common, I tend to notice. Also, I have never aligned so much Biblically as you say, than when I severely reduced our inventory. At first, I had trust issues but know I know God will provide (even if!!) I donate a little bit more than what I think I should. He just keeps providing and we always have more than enough...it's amazing how that happens! Have fun in your new kitchen remodel process!

This is timely, I was literally going through my mugs today trying to figure out which ones to keep or let go of. There are really four that bring me joy even though I tend to reach for a certain one. One of our cabinets has the glass front doors & I just love looking at them even when not in use. 😁 So I don’t need 12 mugs, but 4 is a good balance. 😉

This video humbled me before God so much. We recently purchased a similar house, 2000s home with lots of quirks and updates to be made...and I often find myself telling my husband why arent we making decisions already, come on we need to fix this house, etc. Even while watching your videos being struck by comparison and ungratefulness for our situation. A very ungrateful attitude. Hearing you talk about how this kitchen served you and being brought to tears by thankfulness, I heard God say "Im humbling you". Dang!

We bought a 1980's foreclosure when we got married in 2008 and paid our house off early and then have been saving to remodel the kitchen. Agree that I'm thankful to have a working kitchen but the fake 80's faux marble linoleum is peeling up, no finish is left on it...and the design is not functional!! It's such a big decision to remodel and I find it intimidating so we are taking our time drawing up floor plans. My husband will do most of it himself so he is going to take time off of work.

I really gravitate towards your advice. I hate my kitchen because it's very tiny. I am in a condo. My hubby and I can't afford to redo the kitchen. It's the size of most people's bathrooms. It's so tiny. I make it work. I make it function for my needs. I do the cooking in our house. For me, I have to have organization, function, and pretty all in one. I want to be happy. If I had no color in my life, I swear that my life would feel so sad. I am a very happy person and color makes me feel happy. I can appreciate what I have and will hold onto things for years because I take care of them. I also don't need much to be happy either. Thank you for reminding us of all that God has to offer. He really has helped me this past year. I look forward to seeing your new space. :)

I enjoy your outlook on life. I'm 70 yrs. old and probably all my kids are older than you. But it's so great all that I've learned from you. Even though you are so much younger than me. My husband and I moved into a newer home about the same time that you all moved into yours. I have struggled with getting rid of 50 years of clutter. This home is way smaller than our last home. So I've really needed to get rid of a ton of stuff. Watching your show has really encouraged me to rethink what I really need and want to keep. It's caused me to reevaluate where my treasures are. Thank you for that. I'm excited to see your new kitchen. I pray that our Lord will bless you and your family in your new home. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.

Many times you’ll see people using sledgehammers because unfortunately a lot of cabinets are stick-built versus modular built. When they’re stick-built there’s literally no way to preserve them assembled together and much of the time heavy duty glue and hardware is used to build them together meaning they have to be taken apart piece by piece or destroyed in order to demo them!
