The wall rails... find one stud, put in one screw there, level and the built in hole spacing is stud spacing... makes it super easy to install. The pricing is a bit high compared to the rest of the line, but it seems appropriate for what it is. When you have heavy weight in a Packout, sometimes the unlocking can be tricky with the slide. I don't know if others have experienced similar...

So are you saying all modular storage systems are cheap plastic. You do realize all the systems are made of "plastic" and now a days plastic can be made to be more durable than sheet metal. Plastic can flex and pop back into place while if you do that to steel it will dent and start that way. Both obviously have a yield point that will end in a crack but this isn't your Chinese toy plastic.

@VCG Construction Already see an issue. First, I do want to say that I like how you can just plop it on unlike Milwaukee. Not that Milwaukee's solution is terrible by any means (I love Milwaukee), but for those in the dirty ground trades (on sand/dirt a lot) or even if your trade has "cleanx surfaces like mechanic, HVAC, etc.. overtime, dirt and whatever else will get inside those moving components and make it either not work or barely work. Milwaukee has just the one clip so all the feet and "shoes" can be washed off. And the one clip should be relatively easy to clean out. Especially since it's somewhat open. Those Ryobi ones seem pretty closed and really tough to get to. But just like anything, the more moving parts you have, the more points of failure you have as well.

But im intrested to see how the durablity of the link is compared to the pack out as my packout base box takes a masive ass kicking getting used as a step stool or seat for my 300lbs ass constanly. This system seems brilliant. Hope it'll be released in Europe too.

Ryobi continues to amaze me with their tool lines and innovations... I'm mainly a Milwaukee guy, but Rock is becoming my secondary line. I really like their tool storage accessories.

it is a cool system, but Ryobi's market is mainly the DIY, home garage type guys...I don't know about the rest of use, but in order for the link system to be worth it, you have to buy a lot of individual parts and the costs add up real fast. If your garage has all the ryobi tools you want, then maybe you have cash to spend on storing them...me, there are still ryobi tools I want and the link system would have to cost at least half what it does to be tempting to me. I worry that if ryobi tries to go upmarket...attract the pro users, they are only going to hurt their image and market share.

If this was Festool green & black, the comments would read differently. Snobs abound in the worlds of wine and tools. All they have to do is get the job done

I'm not even liking that button. That fact that he's talking down about a latch is crazy. It should be a latch.

Pro’s use Ryobi? Huh don’t know of any pros that use Ryobi. Everyone is trying to copy packout type stuff.
