The absolute main feature I’m personally looking for is a Bluetooth BMS. Without one, it’s kinda blind knowing what’s going on - current draw & SOC

you are correct. Last night I had my batteries at 52.9 volts and 90%, this morning still 52.9 but at 80%. glad I bought bluetooth. 12 12 volt 100 ah and adding 4 more.

😂 I was thinking the same thing! Every thumbs down is a UPS or FedEx driver! I don’t blame them either. They’d probably kick it too if it wouldn’t break their foot in the process.

the noise I just made seeing the delivery guy just let that box drop from the back of his truck...ho...leee...sheet. I don't really want to criticize him too much b/c he should never have been put in that sort of situation; one person should never be tasked with that sort of weight for a non-freight delivery, but man, this is just un-sat all around. I'm surprised it survived the way it did. Great review as always!

It's amazing how much prices have dropped in the last few years. When I started with the solar/battery hobby, LFP was unaffordable for the average DIYer and we were scrounging for recycled batteries to build with.

Great comment and video on this shipping! I've had problems with this myself with furniture, some of the items ended up completely distorted, replacements were shipped freight. Just because a shipper says they'll ship a certain size and weight doesn't mean it's a good way to ship. With that video the maker may also be able to employ a packing specialist to design packing that would protect the item. Oh, and thanks for the battery review!

The internal construction of the battery looks good, but it's slightly expensive. I'm currently using the Vatrer 12V 460Ah, and they seem to be positioned differently. This big guy seems more suitable for energy storage, while Vatrer is marketed for RV use.

Just looked at their website. The UK site only has 4 batteries available, 1x200ah, 2x100ah and a 50ah. The US site has dozens!

Being so heavy is another reason to by cells and build you own battery. In a perfect world, all handers use lifts and two wheelers, you would be more likely to not have drops and such.

@@pearlrival3124 If you already have the larger gauge wire and can make use of it, it makes zero difference, IMO. (most of my setups are 24V and I'm still adding 24V gear) Except for the BMS on the 12V which limits to 3000W output...

You can easily wire up 12V batteries to get whatever voltage you need. All batteries are made up of the same voltage cells.😊

To be fair, that is a lot for one driver to handle - that's why I think it should be going freight instead of ground w/ trolly. BUT FedEx also accepts up to 150lbs for ground service, so.... he should have the proper equipment for delivery regardless. Just my thoughts.

I have the same problem with the same company while ups have hand truck or they’ll make me pick a nearest location if I was you I’ll put in a complain maybe it was sent to for review but you need a complete one to a make sure it’s delivered defects??

I assembled 7kWh battery myself for approx $800 (8*EVE 280k + JKBMS + case), buying locally in Ukraine. Had I ordered from China, it could have been $600. $1500 seems really overpriced, especially as it does not have any nice features like automatic self-heating.

Thank you for the review. I can't find any UL certifications in the specs, do you know if this battery has those? Without a UL 1973 and UL9540, I just don't see how I can buy this battery and pass Inspections for a Solar System in the USA. Also could you explain the price per kWh?

They are clearly focusing their marketing materials on those markets, with Amzn headlines like "Perfect for Solar System, RV, Off Grid, Home Energy Storage"... Which is odd since they don't have the certifications? They simply don't meet NEC standards without those certifications where they do inspections for code compliance in most states.

The Fedex guy could have dropped it but SLOWLY! Not let it fall by it's own weight. I know it was heavy but he could have held on to it while dropping it. Soften it's fall.

I'm not familiar with the properties of lead batteries. I didn't think you needed a BMS with lead. They do make balancers I know though, which will probably help extend the life of the battery - Victron has one.

That appears to be laser welding, not spot welding.good review otherwise. One thing to note, and just to nitpick to improve quality of your videos, the FET is a Feild Effect Transistor. This means calling is a FET Transistor is redundant. Either call it a FET or a Feild Effect Transistor.

When you make content like yours, which I generally enjoy, which is intended to sell product through affiliate programs, you need to be rock solid and leave no room to be labelled a Schill. All I am suggesting is what I suggested. It is a bad look to retaliate or knock someone that is correct and just trying to help, thats how you lose subs. It makes way more sense to just take the comment, say thank you and do better. That how you earn credibility and respect. Some project videos from you without affiliate agendas would be great to see from you again btw. I used to love those, now pretty much everything is a commercial.

I actually bought 2x of the 460ah Vatrer batteries that you reviewed earlier this year - and those things are giant... got em for 20% off, a few weeks ago. the price on this LiTime battery? doesnt strike me as a good deal (and LiTime's website seems to indicate that the $1650 is its "sale" price).

No. The sale price for 4 of them is $6108. The price your quoting is before the sale is applied (which is done when they're in your cart). If you need 48V, it's best to buy a 48V battery instead of series-connecting 12V honestly.

9:28... There is nothing wrong with those Solder Joints. They will pass the current better than skimpy Solder joints. 12:17... Yeah he just dropped it onto the Ground... That was probably where the Dent came from.
