@PanTheOrganizer

On full car details with 2-stage polish jobs I do. Like in this BMW M3 video: kzitem.info/news/bejne/sKCHx6p_fpuIn4I But for a quick polish demo on a surface with no trim like a hood, I don’t see the need for it. But you’re absolutely right. On any paint correction job, it’s always best practice to tape trim when using polishing compounds and pads with cutting capabilities. I hope that answers your question.

@jiakabery3550
5 жыл бұрын
@@wp6834 basically most manufacturers use an orange for high cut. Blue for middle and black for polish. Ones with bumps are better for less heat. Microfibers are all designed different. One can be high cut one can be for polish. The thinner the pad the more energy will be passed to the paint...meaning more cutting power. Also...more heat. Brands are just brands....a name Start out with Chemicals guys. They have nice packs you can buy with like one of each pad or combination of pads and they are relatively inexpensive. Try them out. A few months later buy a different brand. You can never have too many pads. You'll eventually find the ones you like for one type of paint and other for different paint. Or something like that.

Just purchased one on Amazon and from what I can tell there is no longer a metal body on the blue part. It's now a shade darker blue plastic. Just a heads up.

Hi Pan. 1st time polisher looking for a machine. Have an older BMW 3 series that needs full paint correction and a 1 year old 5 series that only needs polishing. Do I need to look at polishers with 3” backing plates for small areas or will I get the job done with a 5” or 6” plate? Debating between Maxshire M8S or the M15. What would you put in the hands of a first time user?

If you're a beginner, go for an entry level polisher like the M8S.

Great video Pan! I would like a piece of advice if you can...since I am just an enthusiast and everything I do is just for my 2 cars, is it worth it to own a polisher? I mean, after the paint corrections, I shouldn't be using it a lot, or are there any other uses than just making paint corrections? Could I let's say, apply wax or other similar stuff with a polisher? Thanks as always, keep up with the great job 👍🏽👍🏽
@PanTheOrganizer

It's always a good thing to have a polisher even if it's an entry level one like the MaxShine M8S. Beyond paint correction, you can polish headlights when they get oxidized/yellow, you can polish glass, and yes you can even apply liquid waxes or sealants at low speed (speed 2 typically) with a soft finishing pad!

I know the video title says best entry level under $90 but what polisher would you recommend for home or personal use. Budget aside. I’m looking at this vs the m15 pro or griots 6” but open to any other recommendations.

For a beginner does the throw size matter? I’m thinking about getting the M15 because I don’t mind paying the extra money but I’m not sure if i should go for something with a smaller throw for more control? Thoughts anyone?
@PanTheOrganizer

For a beginner, you don't need to worry about throw size. Anything between 8 and 21 mm is fine. I typically prefer 15mm for its versatility. The bigger the throw (21mm) the more distance it covers, but the bigger sizes are usually reserved for super big flat panels.

Would love to see an 8mm comparison video. I just bought a GG DA6. I looked at the Shinemaster, but it is fairly expensive when you ship it to Canada.
