After the National era, Panasonic continued National's role as a reliable brand with arguably the largest number of categories. Starting from kitchen equipment, beauty, lighting, audio visual, to HVAC.
In the 2000s, I was still a child, but what I thought of when I heard the word Panasonic was sophisticated, future, and expensive hahaha. This began to be ingrained in me when I saw the Panasonic concept in the 2000s, most of which had the Frutiger Aero theme that focused on renewable energy, and living in harmony with nature, while also incorporating futurism.
If you've seen the Panasonic F-EK 306 that I uploaded before, you must be familiar with this bigger brother. Here's the Panasonic F-EK405 that I bought from the same place as the 306 one. Unfortunately, when I received this fan, the box was already dented in the middle and the tip of the fan blade was broken (which I could actually replace later).
This fan has 16" size which makes this model less common than the 12" version. I'm not sure whether this fan will be continued in the next generation (where the grill uses a ring, and the motor uses a bearing) or not because so far I haven't encountered this model with a change to the grill or other colors.
In terms of QC, this fan still has the thick and premium BQ from older Matsushita's signature. But performance-wise, it has a lower RPM than other Matsushita fans from the 90s/2000s that I have encountered. Also, when operated, the fan motor also tends to overheat which causes the front motor cover to melt slightly. I was wondering whether at that time Panasonic had made this series of fans slower or whether there was a malfunction or model defect that made this motor undercapacity, even though when I installed the 12" blade, the motor still experienced overheating.
Therefore, I decided to just keep this fan in a box as a collection
