Early in the video when you talk about the 12-24 f/2.8 Pro lens being a great walk-around lens, you point out that it's not a 24-80, it's a 24-70[mm equivalent I assume]. Why do you say it's not a 24-80 35mm equivalent? I mean (2X crop factor of MF3) * (12mm) ---> 24mm at the wide end, and (2X crop factor of MF3) * (40mm) ---> 80mm, Do you think the lens stops short of the 80mm equiv mark somehow?

I've got a soft spot for this camera low key. Lumix can learn from Olympus especially the PDAF

Just a note to say how much I enjoyed this overview of the MKIII "party tricks". I've been happy with a MKII but a near new MKIII fell into my hands at a great price early this year and has become my go-to camera. Seeing some of the unique ws an inspiration for me to get out more.. Thanks again

As always, outstanding video. But 4 years in the making? It's a very good camera though. Surprised by lack of fast SD second card slot and lack of contemporary video features as found in the "old" Pana G9.

This camera has lots of features the g9 does not, but a video centric camera it is not.

For the HHHR mode, is it correct that it can only be used starting from f8 and higher? So the 2-stops noise reduction you have thanks to HHHR you seem to lose because of the f-stop needing to be high in this case?

Which telephoto lens would you recommend for this one for birds? Thanks!
@JosephStalin01

I would recommend the 40 - 150 f2.8 with the 1.4 teleconverter - that gives 420 f4 - I have one and it is a superb lens - good contrast and so sharp

@@ultramuc466 Improved IBIS (5.5 to 7 stops) and computational photography features. For example, in situations where you can use the hand held high resolution mode, you actually get more dynamic range than a typical Full Frame camera's single exposure, at approximately 50 megapixels. It also has lower MSRP starting point than when the E-M1 Mark ii was released. Not a huge leap in hardware but a significant leap in computational photography features.
