I have my own secret sauce for foams in the 1.0 tires. Good review. Thanks for the info.

I have these in my 1.0 Baja Pro X tires...I'd say they do pretty alright in those tires, imo.

Tire venting- always vent. The foams are your “psi”. If you don’t play in water vent the wheel if you want, water- vent the tire outside like done in this video. 2 stage are about a must for crawlers/scalers. I use a leather punch on 1.55 and up tires and do 3 holes. I used to heat up a 3mm rod tip( old copper coat hangers) and poke a hole between treads and still would if I didn’t get into leather working. For the 1.0 tires I heat up the tip of a paper clip and poke it through between treads in 2 spots. All you want is to be able to look from the inside and see at least a speck of light. To disguise the hole from the outside I just wipe my finger on some gravel dust and wipe over the holes (on heated tip made holes). Of course foam tuning for your own rigs weight and tire size is all up to you. Someone out there needs this advice. Air in RC tires does NOT work like in 1/1 vehicles. You lose so much performance and control. Your tire isn’t going to rip lol. Also if you get vented tires wet- just take an old output shaft with a wheel hex and nut, bolt your wheel onto it, and run it in a drill for a couple minutes. It spins the water right out. I used to put em in my drill press and raise the plate up so the tire was in an old butter tub to catch water. There’s no excuse not to vent unless you’re purely mud bogging all the time. Cheers 🍻

I only ran them for a couple sessions. Loved the feel of them, but they need to figure out how to glue them together so they won't slide inside of the tires. The sidewalls just fall over.

just use the blue inner!

I run these foams in my scramblers. But I run only the outer foam. Loose a little bit of sidewall strength but been pretty happy with them

I’ve found the stock Injora foams to be phenomenal. Not a ton of sidewall support, but honestly don’t feel like I’m missing it.

I run these foams in my FCX24 K5 mini trail rig. They do help support that heavy K5 body better than regular foams.

I bought some of these, and personally they are way to stiff for me. I have them in some injora mud terrain tires (so a pretty thick lugged tire). Maybe could be a bit better on a tire with less rubber. They have less squish than stock foams. Just about the only reason I'd recommend them is if you need more sidewall support in your build.

Adam you have 100 different 1/24 scale rigs, so I'm confused why you didn't give these a try on multiple different rigs?! I feel like you didn't give them a very well rounded try. I'd love to see how the inserts would do on multiple different rigs of different weights, even if you just run the same tire everytime I'd at least give a better impression. Just my 2 cents! As always I appreciate the video reviews!!

You have to break the foams in. They just keep getting better and better.

Tire conformity really shouldn’t be the first standard when evaluating a foam insert. Does the tire perform better/grip better with this foam compared to the other foam. Tire conformity doesn’t always equal better tire performance. The tread should be able to provide the grip.

Ive found in my LGRP Trail kings they are phenomenal, smaller tires dont benefit from these foams.

Can you fit the CI foams over the inner portion of the 2 stage foams? Just ideas..

You could trim them to fit over that ring. Good idea!

Venting the wheels when using dual stage foams doesn’t really do anything because it’s closed cell, vent the tires

Excellent honest review of the foams Adam! I find that the available foams in the 1.0 range are very hit and miss and I have been swapping foams from this tire to that tire to find the best fit regarding the tire size, etc. Truly, these PL foams are excellent as you noted on a much heavier rig, especially up front where we tend to load up the weight down low.
