I just bought a R92 from an ad on Guntrader (paid £375.00 including the RFD to RFD transfer), this rifle has been well looked after and hardly shot at all, very clean indeed. Curiously mine is, like yours, .357. But mine is blued, has a 20" octagonal barrel.. and has the end cap on the fore-end. I have not bee able to find out when these were made, other than it has Taurus on the right rear of the barrel. I also watched your video fitting the tang sights, I have just fitted a Skinner Ladder Sight to mine. It looks good. As I am in the Isle of Man I can also shoot handguns (NOT LBR's or LBP's) and I have a Taurus M669 with 6" barrel in .357. They make a nicely matched pair. Shame I can't add a photo here or I'd show you mine.. Keep up the videos, they are good.

That's great, I've just bought an older saddle ring carbine , looked like it had never been cleaned! It's looking OK now after a bit of fettling, thanks for taking the time to comment, cheers.

Interesting. I thought the octagon option was only available with 24" barrels. Nice. I have the blued 16" gun in 357mag. Slick gun. They went crazy with yhe safeties though....half-cock, bolt safety on top, plus the Taurus hammer lock. Ridiculous. I am taking the bolt safety out this weekend. Half cock is all a levergun needs.

Just had one more question sorry.did you polish the loading gate while it was on the gun or did you remove it and also is it more susceptible to rust since that piece is not stainless.

Did you ever get around to polish that blued loading gate ? I just purchase a Rossi M92 and wanted to polish mines also but wanted to know if you polished yours and how you did it.

You're just fine getting a gun like R92. Here in Brazil due to several gun laws we cannot have a .357, only a .38 SPL for civilians, and it will cost about 2000 USD...But it's a gun that won't have much quality.

Hi,thats strange, whats the reasoning behind 38s but not 357 ? R92 are good rifles, ok so quality may be down on other makes but you get what you pay for over here the R92 is cheaper than most other makes so there is a market for them and I can say from my own personal experience that they shoot well too-------well mine do anyway :},cheers.

The reasoning for restrictions to .357 are due stupidity of legislators. Government here do not want people to have guns. Even a .38 is dificult to own if you're a law abiding citizen. If u pass all the background checks, make all tests, and get one gun, you can't have another and you'll not allowed to shoot with the gun. That will serve only for home defense and if a burglar is shot in your home he probably will be out of the jail first than you...

Wow,thats crazy, we can have guns here in the UK but you have to have a good reason for each firearm you own ie Hunting or Target shooting or Pest control. We cannot use it for home defence.

Here we can do target shooting or boar hunting with a special license from brazilian army. No other species are allowed to hunt.

+Dustin Figueroa Hi Dustin,i removed it to polish it,have a look at my other rossi videos in my channel and you will see how to take it out,i suppose it would be more likely to rust but only if you didn't maintain your rifle and locked it away for a couple of years and its also likely that after a while the blueing would wear off anyway,so just helping it along really,if you have any more questions ask away and i will do my best to answer them, cheers.
