Just bought the fr sport phev variant to replace an aged X3. Love swooshing around silently on electric for all local kids clubs, shopping and rail station running about. 3 PIN plug to top it up again. Only used 20 mpg of petrol in the last three weeks of ownership. Seat Connect app great for warming or cooling the car before leaving for ur station or upon return - even does it when not plugged in. Great handling as per reviews. I get around the touch screen using the voice control to turn on seat heating. Cabin space is great, boot space is small due to phev battery but fine for local trips to the shops or a lightly packed weekend trip. Not a lot to fault on this car. With hindsight I would have shelled out for the Lux to get the ACC and reversing camera but otherwise super pleased with it and unlike most cars today, will fit in my garage.😊

The reviewer has earned their money. Seriously, so much BS around in the name of reviews but so little information. Many thanks for this.

Very thorough review as always & is accurate on most points created. The FR with the optional wrap around lighting is a great shout however the FR Sport genuinely feels like the nicer car on the inside. A lot of people getting annoyed with all the touch screen controls however it is something you eventually get used to... a bit like when Apple removed the headphone jack a few years ago! One minor point, I would avoid talking about CUPRA models now within SEAT videos. The brands are now separate.

Ive owned both Leons and Golfs in the past and enjoyed them. Unfortunately, the stupid touch controls for everything mean that neither is on my shortlist for my next car....

I ordered mine from shepherd's Bush showroom but now they've told me they've moved to Hatfield Which is miles away so only in touch with salesmen who's not been that helpful 🤷🏼♂️

Dont know if I was asleep during this hour of mostly catalogue information, but there was almost zero information on how the noise insulation, the road noise or in general the ride comfort is? Is this seen as so unimportant by reviewers and potential customers, in face of connectivity, these days? I see this a core values of a car, which unfortunately many reviewers don't give any priority.

Ron Power - I just got an FR. The ride is smooth and quiet. Wraparound lighting is not standard on FR’s, and the lack of separate buttons for ventilation etc is a pain! The sliders at the bottom of the central screen are NOT illuminated so you can’t see them at night. Ridiculous. FR also lacks some of the driver aids, and to get them as standard means paying too much for this car in my view.

@@mkkravist11 I have had an FR 150HP for about a month now and cannot agree more with you. The Lane assist can also be quite annoying if not driving on the motorway. The lack of lighting at the bottom of the central screen is extremely frustrating when driving at night. I tend to use more the voice control after sunset. While the sound insulation is good, there is weird whistling sound coming from the side mirrors, which can be annoying if not listening to music.

I would probably have bought one of these, but for the touch screen infotainment. Went for a Focus instead which, having had it for 3 months, I reckon is probably a better all round car (and the major controls are physical, e.g. a twist controls with feedback for temperature, volume etc., along with CarPlay and Android Auto). Ride, handling and refinement of the Focus are outstanding (125 Titanium on 16” wheels). VW are making a huge mistake with their cars’ controls, and will have to wake up soon.

Seat leon 1.0 tsi or scala 1.0 tsi? Which one is better? Skoda costs 17.000e in my country and seat 18.000e

Hi there, it's really a matter of preference. The Skoda Scala is great value for money while the SEAT Leon is a very popular vehicle for good reason. Make sure to watch our full review of the Scala to give you a better idea of what to expect 👍 kzitem.info/news/bejne/pJ-bq2qeoZZqlno

The step up from an Ibiza FR Sport to a Leon FR is not that great anymore. The Leon seems the better car if not for the climate controls or lack of them. For me trying to demist the screen or set the temp on a freezing morning wearing gloves prodding away at a screen is just too much hassle. You can find rotary knobs and switches by feel in an instant.
