Enough randomized matches and we might end up with the perfect patch. Pay attention Blizzard.

It would need to be mega toned down in terms of how much percentage it can change. With those lings, you could hand the controls to a silver league zerg player and would destroy a professional protoss in 100% of games that he remembers to make a spawning pool. Heck the only way that toss could actually win here is a worker all-in. For it to be balanced, it needs to be a mirror matchup with the exact same mutators on both sides.

@@bayanzabihiyan7465 The whole point is its fun and definitely not balanced. Best of 3 or 5 matches can help control for bad "balancing" so you don't just lose a tournament off one bad roll. But my point is - its not supposed to be balanced, its just for laughs and a good time

I've long thought it'd be cool to see pros trying to adapt to random balance changes (either with small changes, a mirror matchup, and/or the ability to reject 1-2 of the worst changes).

Yamato cannon needs infinite range, Immortals need to be Immortal, and ultralisks need to be the size of zerglings with ling speed.

Make immortals immortal but move slower than ovies and cost 20 supply. So the opponent has to constantly migrate their base around the map as the walkers of doom approach

Overview: The proposed adjustment to Banelings aims to redefine their role in combat, enhancing their tankiness while reducing their standalone damage. Alongside introducing a debuff mechanic that weakens enemy armor, there's a consideration for decreasing the damage and increasing the Banelings' health to further solidify their role as supportive tank units. Debuff Effect: Upon detonation, Banelings apply a debuff to enemy units, reducing their armor by 0.5 for a duration of 20 seconds. This debuff stacks with successive explosions, potentially lowering the target's armor by up to -2. This adjustment weakens enemy defenses and complements the proposed increase in Banelings' health, emphasizing their role as frontline units capable of absorbing damage. Tactical Considerations: The combination of the debuff mechanic and increased health amplifies the strategic depth of Baneling usage. Players must strategically position Banelings to maximize their impact while considering their increased survivability in frontline engagements. Coordinating multiple Banelings on key targets becomes paramount, as their presence not only weakens enemy armor but also disrupts formations and absorbs incoming fire. Strategic Depth: By augmenting Banelings' health alongside the debuff mechanic, the proposed change provides players with additional tactical options. Banelings evolve into versatile support units, capable of both disrupting enemy formations and enduring sustained combat. This enhancement encourages players to integrate Banelings more effectively into their army compositions, fostering nuanced strategies and diverse gameplay approaches. Counterplay Opportunities: Opposing players must adapt their tactics to counter the augmented Baneling threat. While the increased health makes Banelings more resilient, it also presents opportunities for creative counterplay. Employing area-of-effect abilities, focusing fire with high-damage units, or using crowd control effects can mitigate the impact of Baneling explosions and neutralize their effectiveness as frontline tanks. Conclusion: The proposed adjustment to Banelings, including both a debuff mechanic and a potential increase in health, seeks to redefine their role within the Zerg army. By enhancing their survivability and strategic utility, Banelings become formidable frontline units capable of disrupting enemy formations and weakening their defenses. Fine-tuning the mechanics and balancing their impact will be crucial to ensuring a dynamic and engaging gameplay experience for all players involved.
