OBSIDIAN because of you haven't figured it out yet, the MSM is a hype machine business owned by 6 major conglomerate corporations that are all (obviously) for profit. The MSM (Main Stream Media) & all major television networks that they own broadcast cultivated and curated "Programming" all the way from the main national "news" channels down the the local community "news" stations... It's called programming for a reason. So there's your answer. The reason you see & hear genuine independent media uploading content like this (level headed, based on facts, foregoing hype) on KZitem, is because they are beholden to no one. No huge major money backers who hold the power to dictate what they say and upload based on the money they donate &/or portion of the company they own. There's tons of actual independent creators and news channels funded only by ads or viewer donations (not even sponsors). The MSM is the main reason we have stores across the country and online retailers completely sold out of hand sanitizer, hand soap, toilet paper, bread, tissues, AND masks, etc. It's the non-stop sensationalized 24-hour 'news' all over every network and cable TV station. I'm not saying it's all lies, rather the non-stop coverage is absolutely revenue RELATED. It's unfortunate, and even sounds conspiracy theory-esk, but it's the reality of the world we're all currently living in. Everyone should turn off the TV and seek out more independent sources like this channel, "Real News Network", "Truthstream Media" and so on. I'm not saying you're not already doing that - Just mentioning this in case you're not and/or for anyone else reading this comment. 👍 Cheers, -H.B.

@@humanbeing_ Exactly right. As long as media outlets are run for the purpose of producing profit for investors, there will never be an incentive for television news to broadcast what is best for the public. The only thing those media companies are equipped to do is to persuade you to buy their sponsor's products. It seems like if the last person on Earth was about to die, the media companies would still be trying to sell that person a bar of soap or a cigarette. No attempt would be made to save that last human being.

The days of the MSM actually reporting the truth and facts ended when that POS Marxist Tyrant Barry Hussain removed the law that prevented the media from putting out false information and being used as a propaganda machine which is exactly what the hell they are now all but Fox and even they are teetering on the fence now! Oh and if anyone doesn't believe that about the Marxist Tyrant Dirty Barry Hussain just look it up using Bing or Duck Duck Go, it is all very true!

@@RedneckHillbilly-ho9md Holy Snap, Crackle & Pop your comment is bananas. It's like almost every medical-related conspiracy theory wrapped up into one comment. All it's missing is how GMOs are created to mind control the population while the vaccinations are there to keep you too dumb to question it as the politicians release plague and sickness upon the populace to keep the money flowing to the corrupt pharmaceutical companies (make no mistake though, pharmaceutical companies ARE corrupt, at least in the US, not sure about countries abroad in regards to their pharmaceutical companies) while the cycle continues. To what end? I have no honest clue where it goes, it tends to vary from theorist to theorist. Probably something relating to Brave New World given the medical nature of the dumbing down and complacency of the populace given these conspiracy theories rather than 1984. That said, the application of only US Democrats doing it seems to be a new addition. Usually it's considered one of the few bipartisan things that conspiracy theorists attribute to the politicians. I guess the conspiracy theorists are Republican now? Or maybe it's just a fringe of them. A fringe of a fringe. What a fascinating thing conspiracy theorists are.

Im going to go out on a limb too and say I think far more people have already had this and gotten over it then we will ever know. The first documented case in the u.s. was simply that- the first *documented* case. The virus was fully active for several weeks before we even herd of it. I live in the city which had the first documented case, Everett Washington. Very close to Seattle. There is a large population of Chinese people in Seattle and there is a lot of travel back and forth on a regular basis. My kids and I were sick with a virus for several weeks... The symptoms were just like what's described with the coronavirus. I don't have time to go into details but it was like no other virus we've had. And there were so many people out and about with the same distinct cough.. we went to the e.r. a couple times (before the news even broke about the virus) and the e.r.s.were packed with people, all exhibiting the same symptoms, the same cough. The last trip to the e.r. we went to the same exact hospital that the first documented case guy was in...two days before the news broke. We are finally doing better. Raw crushed garlic everyday, one clove per person is the thing that finally helped us. It's a very powerful anti viral and biotic etc. The Dr.s did nothing except perscribe steroids I really think we may have had this virus. And many other people in my area too. It seems lately there aren't nearly as many people out exhibiting the signs, that very distinct cough, etc, as there were over the past couple months

ARDS is something we were told only 1 out of 10,000 people survive. In 1995 my younger brother was admitted to the local hospital with pneumonia. After being there for 3 days he was discharged and sent home. However, he collapsed in the hallway on the way way out and was rushed to the ER where they determined he had severe respiratory distress. He was airlifted to a bigger hospital 35 minutes away and died on the helicopter and was brought back. He was put on a ventilator once he got to the hospital and we were told he had ARDS. He would be on this for 7 days. They said he had a very low chance of making it(1 of 10,000). After 7 days on a ventilator he was taken off and started his long road back to health. I'm so glad to say he is 45 now and still with us. We don't know how long any of us or our loved ones will be here so cherish every moment. God Bless and stay safe.

As I watched and listened to the doctor, my reaction was that if you have a weak immune system overall and especially in the respiratory area, and you contract COVID-19, successfully surviving it would be nothing short of a miracle, and of course miracles occur. We have a heavy flu season in Germany right now, making it hard for people to decide when they should visit the doctor, what symptoms to take for red flags and what's "just a minor flu" they can cure at home themselves. Meanwhile our public transport systems are stuffed with people day in and out, and a lot of visitors use the same transportation as people travelling to and from their jobs, since our country isn't really that big, everything is kinda focused. If you had a say in our country's reaction to this outbreak in China, what would be the advice you'd give to our people and what advice to the government? We are reporting 16 infected people for quite a while now, but we're only counting people who actually show up and report themselves, there are currently no government ordered tests taken, we basically trust that the infected will be be reporting themselves to a doctor or hospital. Thank you for your videos, they make it a lot easier to grasp this virus mentally and for personal decision making, even if you use a lot of medical jargon your common, short descriptions after that help greatly.

@George Rome I don't think it would actually involve the zombies but if everyone would watch some of these shows, like the walking dead, you could see the reason behind the the comment... The walking dead is about ZOMBIES but look past the zombie aspect of it.. look how they are having to live, how they have people killing and stealing from others to get their supplies etc because they have none.. look how they have had to grow their own foods and find a water source that was healthy enough for them to drink.. they have been showing everyone for years on how to live without all the luxury stuff we have now.. I get where this person is coming from, but from not by the zombie strategy of it.. People always criticize others by their beliefs just because it isn't what they believe.. stop judging someone and start thinking of ways we can go and help others... not everyone has the means to live good through this virus.. we have to get our S**T together and we need to stop thinking about ourselves..

Hi Dr. Hansen! Thank you for making these videos, they are very helpful. Would you be able to make a video about how COVID-19 affects skin injuries? The purpura on the sacrum and buttocks in one of your videos looks a lot like what I am are seeing in my facility. I am interested in the affects of COVID and microembolic processes impacting both peripheral skin injuries of ears, nose, and toes versus those affecting centralized locations like sacrum, gluteal cleft, and back. The other curiosity is the patients presenting with unilateral buttock injury evidenced by sloughing epidermis and deep purple tissue injury beneath. If the patient's presentation were trauma, the concern would be for morel lavallee lesions. However, in patients with severe COVID disease who die, these progress as expected, but in those who survive with COVID, the wounds do not progress into a full thickness wounds. This is a fascinating evolution since wounds with this presentation in non-COVID patients would be expected to progress to full thickness and often need surgical intervention. Thank you for your consideration!

@JoeOcchipinti
4 жыл бұрын
Since the start of this outbreak I keep hearing experts saying the case fatality rate is artificially high because of under counted, mild cases. I keep hearing the number should begin to drop as more cases come in. It's been two months now and since I've been watching the numbers the CFR has steadily increased. It is now up to 3.1% for total global cases. The same occurred during SARS, where the CFR continued to increase over time. Perhaps deaths are also being under counted. After all, the natural background death rate is far, far greater than the death cases we have seen so far. In China if you do the math, over a million people die each month from normal causes, mostly the elderly. It is very conceivable, considering the shortage of viral test kits, that many people are not being counted. There is also great economic pressure to return the population to work which would encourage officials to under count the numbers.
@1charlastar886
4 жыл бұрын
The SARS CoVID-19 test kits have been shown to NOT be reliable. CDC says up to 650 MILLION people die globally every year from lung-pulmonary issues like flu and pneumonia. How many of these are now incorrectly being considered to be Corona virus??? With the Swine Flu some years ago, CDC told State health departments to STOP TESTING and consider all flu and flu related deaths to be Swine Flu --- with NO TESTING. This skews the numbers dramatically and escalates fear.

Then when you come out of it all you can have are ice chips because your muscles have been relaxed for too long and you risk the chance of the liquid going into your lungs instead. It sucks! On that same day, Event 201 was simulated, an event that predicated a Coronavirus outbreak, killing 65-million worldwide. Event 201 was a 3.5-hour pandemic tabletop exercise that simulated a series of dramatic, scenario-based facilitated discussions, confronting difficult, true-to-life dilemmas associated with response to a hypothetical, but scientifically plausible, pandemic. 15 global business, government, and public health leaders were players in the simulation exercise that highlighted unresolved real-world policy and economic issues that could be solved with sufficient political will, financial investment, and attention now and in the future. The exercise consisted of pre-recorded news broadcasts, live “staff” briefings, and moderated discussions on specific topics. These issues were carefully designed in a compelling narrative that educated the participants and the audience.

Can you show a chart of similar diseases that would cause the same lung conditions as described in this patient? How would a physician distinguish between this pneumonia and other types of pneumonia?
@historyteacher5821

Different viruses have different propagation patterns in the lungs. An excellent resource for visual differentiation between the various viral pneumonias, as seen on by x-ray and CT, can be found here: pubs.rsna.org/doi/10.1148/rg.2018170048 The problem, though, is that the visual representation of SARS-nCOV-2019 on a CT scan can vary greatly from patient to patient- in other words, you cannot readily differentiate between COVID-19 and any other Pneumonia, as it does not appear to have a 'standard' presentation: www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736%2820%2930211-7/fulltext

The difficulty we have, in the medical industry, to this day, is that symptoms are treated and not an enhancement of the immune system. Fever is a remedy of the body, it shouldn't be suppressed. In that case, symptom begins to follow a past symptom. A never-ending fight. What's more helpful is to study the origin of this virus, the make of it. For a scientist working in a lab with vaccines, should be able to discover the artificial nature of how this virus is "made".

They know exactly how every last one of them is made if you work in a laboratory you will not be able to get out of there and tell nobody because each one of these Laboratories top Laboratories have security that actually watch all the employees they have the answers to each and every one of these viruses that they've created their never told you the truth about AIDS or any of it a ton of hours and legionnaires in the same derivative they can put Aids on a surface and you can get AIDS they can put it in a aerosol you can get AIDS just like legionnaires Hunter virus that created in bought the animals involved in it like the jackrabbit Mouse to poop in a let their pee out and it dries on the surface and go aerosol to make you sick and kill and give you respiratory problems and respiratory failure so they have covered the gamut that's why other people don't understand the evil of these evil doors I'm from a family of Eli Lilly lavatory man and was sent to medical school myself and refused to go because the physiology of the human body does not match the medicine protocol are western-style medicine is totally in a dated and totally backwards in crooked and it's made to keep you sick it's not made to heal you only in emergency situations that really anything is being done to save you most of the medicines and everything that they are Miniature basically hurt your body and your body is the one that actually gets it back in order and you was correct about how they do everybody should understand they don't never want to work on the immune system because that's the backbone of it all that's how they destroy us

Kids seem to be particularly resilient to this virus.. so I wouldn't worry too much there. Kind of like chicken pox in a kid vs adult. The outcomes are very good with much milder symptoms. You'd be more at risk.

I appreciate everything you’re doing. I have two questions that I would love for you to do in the next video. 1. What procedures would you take if you get ARDS and the hospitals are full? 2. Would Cpap machines help push air into the lungs enough. Also during a respiratory illness what sleeping position is best for your lungs?
@Ondi22
4 жыл бұрын
1. ARDS patients need hospitalization. 2. NIPPV would help, but intubation/ventilator support is more helpful for severe ARDS because of the PEEP that can be achieved. 3. Head of bed 30-45 degrees to open the lung bases, support fluid drainage by gravity, prevent gastric secretions from going into lungs. (I’m an ICU nurse).

I can completely understand how intubation might terrify someone who is claustrophobic - but isn’t there a general protocol available to safely sedate the patient enough to be unaware of such interventions? Naturally anyone being intubated would likely experience a sensation of gagging or choking, right? I understand sedation may not be safe for some people/situations - but wouldn’t sedation and intubation give a patient a greater chance of survival than the alternative interventions he was given? Perhaps others made a full recovery in similar situations - but I would be begging my Doctor for a safe and steady flow of benzo’s before opting to forgo the most promising option. BTW, THANK YOU for helping the public in general understand these medical terms! I learned a lot researching medical journals throughout the near decade I spent as my mother’s caregiver - but you save people like me a LOT OF TIME not having to look up simplified definitions of hard-to-pronounce, Greek and Latin medical terminology! 🤔 I wonder if there’s a “Medical Terminology For Dummies” or other “Simplified” Dictionary in Layman’s terms out there... Now THAT is a book I would buy!!! 👍😉🤗

I have an autoimmune disease and am sick with the 2nd cold/flu this year alone. I also happen to live in Costa Mesa, California where they want to set up a quarantine zone! Our Mayor is fighting it and did get a court order to block the order temporarily, but something like this would be fatal for me. The place they want to set it up is just blocks from my house at Fairview Developmental Center. I hope to God they don't do it. There was already 1 case in Orange County and we all know how fast that can change. I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis and have been undergoing immunosuppressant treatments for it. Anyone with an autoimmune disease is at an even higher risk and a virus like the Coronavirus would most-likely be fatal for us. God help us all and a special thanks to you for sharing this information and thanks to all the doctors and scientists who are working so hard to create a vaccine. I did like and subscribe. 🙏🏻

We live in a world today that can make this the perfect pandemic. We travel to all populated areas and we have the 'bring the patient to me' problem, instead of send the doctor to the patient. In this world, I would not be surprised that this was developed in a lab somewhere.
