All of the games actually have completely original OSTs. The problem is they recycle the same sound fonts and vocal bits making them very samey. They do have some absolutely addicting tunes though and I love them, particular the overworld themes.

Do you think you could ever repost some of your older videos with this newer piano trail edit? I actually plan to learn some of your older arrangements like great fairy’s fountain, and song of storms but the trails are way shorter so I find it more difficult. Though that might also be because of how fast you’re playing the notes and chords
@ErikCPianoman
3 жыл бұрын
Good question. The trails are shorter due to the speed of the notes. The only way to remedy that would be to increase the tempo of the midi capture before recording. But then the notes would fly by very quickly, with a host of other drawbacks. Probably won’t be reuploading them as a result. You’re better off learning arrangements of that complexity with sheets tbh. Otherwise the playback speed controls on YT are your friend. Just beware that the midi is from a live performance so there’s bound to be mistakes/tiny inaccuracies. GL

@Emppu91

While I can barely comprehend your skills with the piano and respect them wholeheartedly, I also can't help but feel that sometimes your renditions of these classical VG tracks are perhaps a bit TOO bombastic and... with the lack of a better word; rash for their own good. I've noticed a similar thing with a couple of other tracks you've uploaded where you start out beautifully but then it quickly develops into a version where it looks like you're hammering the keys with all of your strength with a bunch of little vibratos and slides from one end of the entire notes to the other. I refer to a couple of old sayings with "less is more" and "simple is beautiful" which I think both are true and should not be forgotten. On this very video's description you say yourself "the music is always so calming" but I'd politely argue that by the time it hits the variation it's anything but calming. You can tell from the melody that it's still the same track but barely even comparable to what came before it.
