Our favorite place is Old Koloa Town.... we were hesitant to like the new construction but to bring new life and jobs to Koloa is important for da Ohana... it was done tastefully....

Happy Valentine's Day and Thank you for the promised update! IMO, it does resemble the building and look of Old Koloa Town, except that being new construction, all the buildings look "too new" compared to the other buildings in Koloa, which I feel adds to the charm of Old Koloa Town! But, I agree this adds lots of jobs and employment for the people working there! In spite of the look, I for one, will still check it out upon my return and for sure go to the new restaurants!BTW, there is a website on the construction site, along with an animated feature on the final look showing lots of rooftop dining areas like you suspected!!

Mahalo for the peek. 5th gen Koloa Family. Want to point out that Mike and Robert have brought so much more to OKT than you see. The improvements to infrastructure on Weliweli were a welcome gift. The parking will be nice. They’re creating a nice place to gather. Eventually, there will be housing and a much needed sewer line.

I'm trying to figure out where this is too. It looks nice but I hope as construction is completed some nice palm trees and more foliage will be added. I was last in Old Kaloa Town a year ago right before the Covid pandemic began and I didn't't notice it but I wasn't really looking for it either. Is it between the two commercial sections? I was looking for your last video on Old Kaloa town but I can't find it do you have a link? Mahalo for the video and info.

Hi Brody and Autumn, hope you guy’s are well. We are planning our annual trip to Kauai and are looking for some information and your opinion on planning our trip for sometime in October. I heard that until the end of November if your flying in from the mainland you will still have to quarantine for 10 days regardless if you have tested negative. We are so missing Kauai as we always celebrate our anniversary there. This year will be our 45 th and we really want to spend it in Kauai but also don’t want to book the trip and lose out on money for the airline tickets. In your opinion do you think they will change this rule because of vaccinations as we usually spend 10 to 12 days and don’t really want to spend the whole time in our hotel room. Or should we put our trip off till early next year? We miss being on your beautiful island as we had to obviously cancel our trip last year. We love the progress there making in Old Koloa Town by the way. So excited to see it all done and up and running. Thank you for keeping us updated. Stay well and safe. We would love to meet you both when we visit on our next trip. Take care.

I love Old Koloa Town! I love how local it is. When I was living on Kauai I made sure I spent time in local spots and Koloa was a spot I met so many cool people! So cool it’s getting extra love and drawing in more people. I miss Kauai so much, piece of my heart is right there in the middle of the Pacific! I was there on the west side the morning of the tsunami warning (camping on Polihale) in 2010. Those local Hawaiians don’t mess around when it comes to tsunami warnings, that’s for sure! So much Aloha to you!!

I assume the construction is where the Big Save Market was or is? Hard to tell from the videos. If it's not there any longer, I'll miss the convenience and that home town feel of our many shopping experiences there but it's good to see the construction jobs and subsequent job creation as a result. Do you know if Big Save is still there or will be incorporated into the project? We appreciate the update and look forward to seeing the final product hopefully in the near future!

I am looking in kauai and I could afford a condo if I sold mine on the mainland however I wanted to know the best place to live as a 26 year old male. North shore? or South shore. Will you be working from home or do you need to find a job here? I suppose that could depend on where you end up. Also, remember Kauai is a pretty sleepy island. Not sure if it's the best place for someone in their 20's haha but I suppose that depends on what you'd like your life to look like.
