Your video helped me make a decision and I just bought my 1st Suunto, the Core black/red. Regards.

The only thing that’s annoying about this watch is having to change the battery annually. If Suuto made a solar edition of this same watch I’d pay $100 more for it. In fact, I would just go ahead and buy a second one because, it’s solar. That would be super cool.

Interesting. I had the same issue with straps. Every year it was another 75 bucks for strap. I went to use MVMT the last few years but sometimes I travel for work and I miss having dual time and compass. Seeing good discount at moment for 150. Might give it a shot! Thanks for posting

I recently got the Suunto Core black. I ordered the strap adapter kit with the same strap that came on your Red as a replacement after hearing how bad the rubber one are. I like running Nato and Zulu straps on my tactical/filed watches anyway. Great watches though.

Thanks for the review 👍🏽 I have been using Suunto since the 90's and their straps have always sucked 😒 Even on the Ambit they where terrible. Other than that, they are great watches. Love the analog look of the display and they are built tuff as nails. Finally, being able to change the battery 🔋 at home is great 👍

I have the original core exactly like yours, but I just changed the battery last night and it had and took the CR2032 battery just like your new core. I think maybe you had the wrong battery in your old core. It takes a CR2032. Also, the new watch looks nice, but I would have stuck with your old watch. Looks like nothing has changed and the band that you like could also fit on your old watch. I think I might order that band for my old unit. You just need the new style clasp system to fit the old watch. Oh, just one more thing. Like I said...I have the old unit. Had it for over 5 years and if you look...it says on the back bezel that the battery is a CR 2032. Check your old watch to see what it says. Thanks

Can confirm, have the old one and have been replacing the battery myself and always had CR2032 in it.

Do you remember the Suunto USA website where you got the deal? I'm planning on buying one before Army Basic. Thanks!
