Apple documents use @State for the model but you did not do that here. Should we use it ..?

So how if i want to make a variable inside the viewModel that does not need to be @Published ? so the @Observable is not that useful then ?
@MorganMath314
11 ай бұрын
It sounds like the variable that does NOT need to be published just simply won't if the view does not rely on it. Swift will determine if it needs to be published. Are you wanting to explicitly force the variable to NOT broadcast any changes even if the view uses the variable?

I'm assuming @Observable behaves like @ObservableObject in the View. Do you know if there is an option to have it behave like @StateObject?
@hasanalisiseci8851

Why do you prefer using StateObject instead of ObservableObject? Is there a specific and beneficial reason for this?
@junglee-bee

What do you mean? @Observable macro basically fixes the issue of unnecessary re-creation of views. @StateObject vs @ObservedObject was also an issue of object ownership. Now all you do is @State which is one stop replacement for both @StateObject and @ObservedObject

@@hasanalisiseci8851 That's a good question! I think my previous comment might have been deleted because I included an external link. There is a specific reason to use @StateObject vs @ObservableObject. Instead of my trying to explain here, I would just do a quick search on Google for "stateobject" vs "observableobject" and that would give you a good definition.
