As much as I love TATA, Racer seems a bit disappointed from them. A car that can’t do 0 to 100 in less than 10 seconds should not be considered a racer anyway. Clutch, Long throw of gear are a miss too. They could have gone with a fiat 4 cylinder, the engine of India with tweaks or may their in house 1.5 😂. But design wise it’s a great looking car. Love the design inside out. Great review Rachit. Keep it up 👍.

@Rachit @motoroctone to answer your doubt, when you give right indicator, the blind view monitor will somewhat be usefull when there is fog on the front right window especially in rains because of which we wont be able to see the right mirror!

Ask tata motors about Bring back hexa MPV plus Suv combo and Altroz premium facelift with ground clearance about 180-185 minimum.. Diesel petrol CNG and automatic things.. Tata Sumo back with MPV like Ertiga killer with safety .. Ask them to bring more pickup for all cars at first second gear third gear...Higher pickup lacking please ask tata motors to work on this . Tata bring tiago major facelift with same higher ground clearance and more mileage of 35 plus in Cng segment aand dieesel 25 pluus

Every other review have mentioned few good thing like high speed stability and suspension, but clutch, gearbox and NVH is not expected, and in motoactane everything is excellent because its a Tata car. So you more loyal to Tata then your viewer ? If you mentioned this things properly then at least Tata consider that in next batch/update. Its a review or Promotion ? Seems like a tata add.

Looks and features wise the car is good. But what's not good about this car is the whole racer thing. It says it's a racer but you are not getting any racer about this. The engine is not refined rather it's just noisy and there is no sporty feeling about it. 0-100 takes roughly 13 seconds which is not a racer thing below 10 seconds could have been better. The suspension is not tuned to be a racer and at last the clutch is actually worse in this car where when you want to lift it the car actually jerks and thus results in actually stalling the car. I understand what TATA tried to do they wanted something that POLO did. But they will never achieve that not with the petrol engines they're offering with.
But where is the red color why there not providing red color which more attractive than any color

There is no need of 0-100kmph in practical life. You have need of 60-80kmph, 80-100kmph or 100-120kmph for overtaking and for this range altroz is good option

Yeah you can't call it a Racer when the performance itself is not good enough. Features are good but the customer who buys this type of car is primarily for the performance. It's should have been under 10 secs. Tata should just call it a facelift or they should have provided the gdi engine. Otherwise no point calling it a Racer when there is no performance to support that naming. I would say no car has been able to take the place of Polo yet. But would be good to see if in the future a car matching polo is launched. I have driven i20 n too but Polo is still on the top.

But my bs6 phase 2 NA petrol altroz does 0-100 in 14 sec.. why would anyone pay extra??? NA is not that bad either if you drive sanely... It can do 150 kmph of top speed too...
