I just bought an 05 with 3800 miles and rode her 300 plus miles home. Tractor trailers do not phase her...truly an epic motorcycle with awesome power. Nice one.

I bought mine in April, same bike, 2006 with 19767 miles. Mine had Cobra pipes and a Cobra fuel injection module on it. Loving this bike - the '2000s are such unicorns: Water cooled heads, air cooled jugs, over 1 liter per cylinder (125CID), it's the rarest of the Vulcans. If they brought the bike back with a six speed, I'd easily pay $20,000 for one.

If you can find a Euro gear, that will add a overdrive to your transmission

May I ask what baffles you have in those Cobra Speedster slashdowns? Those pipes sound amazing. Are they the stock baffles??

Sorry it took me so long to reply. I'm not sure what was on that bike. I actually don't have it anymore. I did some horse-trading with a couple of bikes. But yes it definitely did sound great.

I recently bought an '06 LTD and it has a short windshield and I'm 6'3" so the wind hits me in the worst way, how tall is the factory windshield the headlight to the top?
@frozensloth168
2 жыл бұрын
I'll have to measure it. I do have about an extra 2" I can raise it up. The wind hits the take and blows straight up in my face. I might try adding some lower wind deflectors. My friend did that to his 1700 Nomad and it did wonders. He made bigger ones than the ones it came with. I think they're the same diameter mounting clamps for the forks.

Oh I know. I just got Dunlops for my Voyager. It cost me $800 out the door. The only reason I can laugh about the VN 2000 is because how awesome it is that they have that much power. My tires have about 2K on them since I made this video and I can already see a good amount of wear on mine too.

Go darkside. I run a 205 65 16 on mine. Handles great, hooks up much better, corrects the speedometer somewhat, and cuts rpm slightly on the interstate. Also lasts 4 times longer at least!
