I was heavily into PCP and sold everything twice. But..I was drawn back into the “Darkside” and bought my 3rd Marauder pistol and tank. The CS2 was suggested to me and I bought one. The CS2 fills the PRod in only 35 seconds.I keep my CS2 in a roll-around Coleman cooler.

Excellent review & help I have 1 question Is it possible for CS2 to fill a 6.8L 300bar scuba tank in breaks ??
@TargetForge

Possible? Maybe. advised? No. It is SIMPLY not designed for that and will take you a VERY long time. If you must use a large bottle, get a CS4 instead. It make a LOT more sense.

My first compressor was the CS3 and my experience was much different. I don't have any tanks I fill my rifles directly. 1 is a Benjamin Marauder and the other is a FX Impact M3. I was a hand pumper but doing that to my FX happened exactly 1 time lol So, I ordered that CS3 and was soo happy with it for 3 days lol there was a loud clunk and the motor locked up. Amazon was going to send me a new one immediately but I opted for a refund and bought the Omega Air Charger. Its been great so far 1 year in but was like 3x the cost.

Sounds like you got one of the motors with bad heat treatment on the shaft. Some soft ones got out, and that was a shame. At least they stood by you! Like you said, quite a bit more money and in all actuality, exactly the same manufacturer.

@TargetForge
3 ай бұрын
Since this machine is oil free and has in input particulate filter a "filter" really isn't a requirement. That being said, an effective moisture separator that has valves that can contain pressure safely, would be a great solution. There are a few on the market, but there volume is a bit large, and they are expensive. I have been trying to work some manufacturers to bring a solution to market, no luck yet.

I'm a springer guy thinking about PCPs. The added costs for refilling options is prohibitive. Air tank and compressor is gonna run $1k, + the price of the gun. $1500?????? ty
@wruehl
8 күн бұрын
Seems like your point of view is trying to support the spinger narrative? Buy the right compressor and fill the gun directly, so no tank needed. A decent PCP can be had for sub $300. Once you have a filling solution, future PCP's are gun only costs. I love the springers too, I even still love pumpers. But few things shoot as well, or as long as a decent PCP.
@filoIII
8 күн бұрын
@@wruehl IDK. What am I gonna do? Buy just a $200 compressor and wait 15 min to shoot. Or a $400 compressor to fill a $600 carbon fiber tank to refill quicker? I know nothing about these.
@TargetForge
8 күн бұрын
@@filoIII Not sure where your time information is coming from but in my videos, I show that a top up, on a 480cc bottle takes 6 min with an inexpensive CS2. That is less than half of your allotted budget. Having a compressor around (instead of a bottle) means that it will always be ready to go. Once a bottle gets below the fill pressure (Many guns are already at the max pressure for a bottle) the bottle is less and less effective each time it is used. That being said, a CS4-I CAN fill both, is just as portable, and is faster (~30%). The CS4-I can run for hours and fill large bottles as well. Yes, it is more expensive, but is is also water cooled, and more capable. It is also physically larger, and heavier but still capable of running on 12VDC from your vehicle, or a common wall outlet. You should follow the path that leads to happiness! Thank you for your comments!

The CS4-I is exactly the same power as the CS4. It IS 30% higher flow rate than the smaller pumps and can run longer, but is also much larger physically, so not the right choice for everyone, but defiantly pretty cool.

This might have already been answered but how long does it take to fill a 48Ci/3000psi tank
@TargetForge

The perfectly honest answer? I have no idea. If you would like to send me such a vessel I could time a fill for you. I could also come up with a fairly well guided guess. A 1 liter bottle fill from 0 to 3000psi takes ~20 min. Your vessel is smaller than that so maybe 16min? You didn't mention if you were filling from 0 or simply topping off so I made some assumptions.

Hey Timmy, I can see you are obviously upset that you missed the warranty window. Your information is not really accurate. Single sided PCB's have been used on a LARGE scale for many decades. Simple circuits simply do not benefit from double sided PCB's. In fact the ENTIRE electronics industry has gone the opposite direction. SMT, or surface mount electronics are exclusively only soldered on one side, They MAY have parts on both sides, but the solder is single side. All that being said, the early CS3's had weak PCB's because of the design, and components used, not because of the method of manufacture. I have covered on this very channel changing that board for the new design which is VASTLY better, I even designed a bracket to make the change SUPER easy. If you do not want to order a new board, and a bracket and no longer want your CS3 I'll buy it off you and pay for shipping once I see photos of it and you supply the package dimensions and weight.

@@TargetForge my compressor is working now I got very lucky and made a new friend on one of the KZitem videos and sent my mother board to him and he fixed it !! Thank God !! He's an electrical engineer and works on airguns and compressors ! When he checked out the mother board only 1/2 of the connections were soldered ! So he went through the motherboard and resoldered all the connections and the board works now !! It's just very disappointing that GX was not even willing to try and help me at all ! To me it's almost like the motherboard was built to fail so they could sell you a replacement motherboard or a new compressor !! It seems like nowadays no one is willing to stand behind anything they manufacture even if it's a defective part !!
