This is perfect, thank you! It's convinced me to move to Visible+ once I'm done with my rebate obligations with Verizon. If you are a gamer like me and download a lot of games on the visible phone Hotspot, you can bypass the 5mps speed cap if you play on pc. You download the pdanet app on your phone and then on your computer, and it let's you share the data from your phone via being plugged in with USB instead of it being wireless Hotspot. Connecting my PC through the USB like that shot my speeds up to 10mps because somehow the pdanet is blind to the network throttle unlike the built in wireless hotspot.

So what happens with a phone that I do still have on the original visible plan on party pay from before the new plans. Will it start using core network now or will it require choosing a plan through the app?
@atkichra

From what I saw basically you can keep that same original plan until January and then you’ll have to pick one of the two new plans they are offering. So in the long run your phone bill will be going up $5 a month after January.

How is visible compared to mint? The main reason I’m considering visible is due to mint not having Apple Watch support

Was just thinking about switch from mint due to apple watch support…. But the new plans don’t make sense, just like RING, pay more, get less….. nope, guess I’ll skip visible for now.

I would stick with the regular Visible Base plan! Switching to the new Verizon network core should help improve ping times and latency, which in turn will mean a better experience for you.

Could you possibly do a comparison with US? Mobile invisible+ impressing on my older Verizon plans that gives me the Apple music but it's $86 a month and about ready to ditch it for that reason but I've been tossing up because I definitely need local roaming which I do see that visible Plus gives that. But I just wanted to as any other perks between the two that would make it go one way or the other

Why US Mobile has the highest Priority anyways. Visible is not high priority when the towers are congest you will deprioritized so you wont see high numbers.

@@hnnotyy You keep posting this but the website's terms re: the Visible+ plan state that there's no deprioritization until you exceed 50gb? Not posting snark, genuinely curious. I'd been planning to switch from T-Mobile postpaid back to Verizon Play More, until I saw this new Visible+ plan. Now I'm considering Visible+ rather than Verizon postpaid / Play More. I already have Apple One so the Play More perks don't really interest me anyway. But slow / congested / deprioritized data I have no desire for. I do live in very strong Verizon UWB area.

Why would running the speed test for the two phones at the same time affect anything? Would the results be the same if the speed test was done with the other phone next door across town? Why would it make any difference that they were next to one another?
@vanKaneLio
2 жыл бұрын
Visible is deprioritzed, meaning it’ll get (significantly) slower speeds when the Verizon tower is busy speed-testing Visible+ next to it. If you live in a crowded city, definitely consider this point. Otherwise that will rarely happen.

I switched from Verizon prepaid to visible and had no problem 3 months ago. Typed in my account information from the Verizon app and had no issue’s when I went to activate my visible. I love it, was paying $45 a month for 21gb of data and now pay $25 for unlimited. Even at $30 it’s the best prepaid service you can get out right now. No one should be complaining about the $5 price hike for the basic plan.

Visible+ is available on both eSIM and physical SIM. Existing customers need a new SIM in order to switch to the new Verizon network core.
