taping the ends of the poles really helps when setting up if you dont want to use screws.. which usually end up ripping your tent.

@sharps00....Have you gotten any unwelcome visitors come in under the canvas?Like a chipmunk or a mouse?Or a rat?Or ants?Setting-up camp for a comfy stay takes great forethought and planning. One consideration with wall tents is pest control.A ground sheet under a heavy tarp is good for the floor; but the bottom of the walls need to be fully sealed to keep pests out.

Thanks for the reply. We use a heavy plastic tarp for the floor. Small outfitter style stove is used inside and it is sometimes too warm. If you stoke the stove just right you can get 4 hrs or so out of it and we are too lazy to get up in the middle of the night to refill it. Its a constant battle between me and my hunting partners...I like it cooler and they like it sauna like.

@forrestry I am really happy with the tent so far. The amount of space in the tent is great for when its pouring rain outside

@BigRedEraser you can do it easy with 2 guys. I put together the roof section first then I stretch out the tent across the roof ridge line. Then I put the wall poles up on one side first and get the tent started to roll down. Then the other side goes up and the tent is rolled down on that side. Just don't do what I did this year....got the whole tent up and then realized I had it inside out......DOH

@HarleylovinChelley We have some tarps we put down on the inside of the tent that overlaps a skirt that is attached to the bottom of the tent........but the thought of a mouse running across my face in the middle of the night has for sure crossed my mind lol

lol...this fall I had to set up my tent, with 3 guys that never set one up in the dark with flashlights...we got it up in about half hr...lol but it was backwards to where the stove hole goes to my wood stove so we had to turn it , yes those screws would come in handy, but we got it turned with out it completely coming apart again...oy vey!
