We flew a red eye into Toronto from Edmonton and caught a connecting flight to New York that landed around 9 AM on a Thursday. There's a free bus from the airport that took us to a train station which ultimately brought us to the Iroquois hotel so we could drop our things off.

The hotel was awesome and in a great location just off Times Square. They provided a continental breakfast we ate everyday and a happy hour/high tea from 5 to 6 PM.
We spent the first day just walking around and doing whatever because we were tired. Stopped at the famous Joe's Pizza for lunch, the crust was great, the sauce had a nice unique flavour to it and the price was right.

For dinner we ate at an awesome ramen place called Ippudo NY. Couldn't recommend it more, tasted great, wasn't too busy, neat place, decent price and good service.

Friday we walked through Central Park to the Met Museum. Highly recommend buying tickets online so that you only need to stand in the security line as it was pretty busy. Lots of history and art to enjoy, unfortunately the wave was not on display when we were there though. We ate at the food court which was alright, more convenient than anything.

For dinner we stopped at Los Tacos No. 1 which was awesome. It was very busy buy the line moved fast and the tacos were wicked.

Later that evening we went to the Minskoff Theatre for a Broadway show of The Lion King. It was very good and I'd say the price matches what you should expect as it's not exactly cheap.

Saturday we caught the Staten Island Ferry with the purpose of seeing the Statue of Liberty. It runs pretty often and it's free. You also get a good view of the statue so I'd definitely recommend that if you plan on checking it out. The skyline view is pretty sweet as well.
We checked out Wall Street which was very busy but cool to see in person and stopped by the 9/11 memorial which was right nearby. After that we checked out the Brooklyn Bridge which was honestly way too busy and overhyped.
For dinner we grabbed sushi at a place called Hama. It was awesome and the price point made sense for what you get in terms of quality and quantity. The staff were also friendly.

Sunday wasn't a busy day for us due to not feeling well. We checked out Madison Square Garden after stopping at the famous Liberty Bagels shop. Madison Square Garden was nothing special so I wouldn't recommend checking it out unless you're going there for some purpose.

After dinner we stopped at Grand Central Station which was surprisingly really cool to see. We conveniently were also doing the Summit Observation Deck which is above the station. Definitely recommend checking out the observation deck because of the sweet views and would suggest an evening visit around sunset to catch the day view, sunset view and night view.
