I'm a die hard knicks fan, been with them since i was 9 but we are not a good 3 point shooting team even though we can be with novak, shurna, felton, kidd, smith and melo. last year i believe we were 21st or 22nd in the league in 3pt % meanwhile taking the 2 most 3PT per game. I expect to see an improvement this year.

But if you look, in the beginning most of these were swing passes, inside-out plays or early offense on the break. Not great offense, but good reads and ball movement. They were wide open. In the end they forced some, thats where you can say they were just blazin hot, but then they were already blowing portland out. Knicks really are a solid 3 point shooting team!

Especially with Jr Smith who is so inconsistent, but Knicks have Stoudemire and Chandler in the paint so if the 3s aren't falling then best to post them up or urge Jr Smith and Melo to drive.

The knicks would then have Jeffries and Harrelson able to play center. with Carmelo, Howard, Novak and Odom at forward and Iman, Rivers, Jr and Lin at guard. So you get an amazing young guard, an amazing defender / forward, an above average forward, and get to see Jeffries and Harrelson not ride the bench as much. You make it like Chandler has been with the Knicks for 10 years AND Amare didnt even want to play on the knicks, he wanted to be on Miami, not sure why youre so attached to them.

Why the Garden seems different?
@Dan-nu9dl
8 жыл бұрын
The Garden was renovated in 2014 and this game was in 2012 which was the garden before renovation. Also if you noticed, the knicks games look different because the camera angle of the game is different from 2010-12 era because the seating section was renovated in 2013 completely which placed the recording area to different floor. Thats why old knicks games have a much higher angle of the court. Not only that the garden uses a different organ now so that kinda changes the sound environment of the knicks games.

Melo,Amar'e,Chandler can't be traded. Like I said they can but most likely not gonna happen and even if they were gonna trade 1 of those 3, they would definitely not trade 2 of 3. No matter who it is. Maybe Fields will be traded but as of now I think 75% of the knicks are free agents. They must get rid of either Lin and keep novak and smith. Or other way around. Why? they cant aford those guy's and you think we can afford players like howard? I cant believe you said trade Amar'e and Chandler.

Lin and Novak are both working to claim their Early Bird rights, meaning they don't apply to the pay cap. Second, a team with a top draft pick like the wizards or bobcats would JUMP at the chance of getting Amare regardless of injuries. Meaning they just opened about 18m on top of the 9m they currently have to spend, which is currently enough for Odom alone. Chandler's 58m contract over 4 years is more than enough to pay the 19m each season for Howard, considering how badly he wants out.

Omg... Ok first off there isn't 1 gm who would want Amar'e. Why not? Who would want a man for 3,4,or 5 years with major injuries. Yes they COULD trade Amar'e but only for a major deal like Dwight like you said. But then again Howard will want Amare's money and stay with the knicks for AT LEAST 5 years. That's why no gm want Amar'e. 4 years with a guy who gets injured almost every season. Chandler can't be traded cause he was amnesty. We traded billups so we can have money left over for Chandler.

It's not really that uncommon for a PF/C to be able to shoot 3's. Dirk Nowitzki, Matt Bonner, Brad Miller, Kevin Love, Andrea Bargnani, Channing Frye and Al Harrington can all shoot well. Amare Stoudemire even won a 3 point shootout in China so I guess you can mark him down too

or trade amare for a top draft pick, take austin rivers, freeing up 18 million and obtaining an amazing 2G. Then trade tyson chandler and fields for Dwight Howard, and use the left over money from Amare/Chandler to sign Odom. As far as PG goes they could just play Lin / Iman / and have Rivers / Jr play 2G. This is if the Knicks actually have some sense and hope to obtain a championship of course. Lin was obtained mid-season though, so he doesnt apply to their pay cap so idk where that came from
