Can we take a moment to appreciate Evan "Freakin'" Roberts? This dude is on the radio half the day, deals with the stress of his team being in the post season all night, and podcasts at the conclusion of every game, win or lose. That's not easy mentally, physically or emotionally, and this guy is entertaining as all hell. Saluté

So you mean he works from 2-6 on the radio talking about sports, goes to a game once and a while, that im willing to wager is paid for by someone else 50% of the time, and then comes home and does a podcast for 55 minutes. So by my calucluations he works 4 hours a day most days and every once and a while works 8 hour days. Yeah, thats real tough. Im not sure how he puts up with the mental, physical, or emotional stress as compared to all the other people in this world who go to work at least 8 hours 5 days a week working real jobs. Yeah hes a hero lol.

@@Josh_Grav my comment was a little tongue in cheek, as a sports fan I can tell you I don't want to talk to anyone let alone a large audience about my team after a tough loss. That's what I meant by mental and emotional stress. I also work 50 hours a week in retail, but I can still take the time to appreciate someone for entertaining me five days a week. Also, I can tell you, any broadcaster works more than their 5 hour shift a day. Broadcasting isn't easy. Entertaining isn't easy. Doing it while your underdog team is in the playoffs, isn't easy. Yea he's not pulling in trucks or laying bricks, but Evan Roberts, I acknowledge you. ☝️

A lot of people are applauding Severino for holding LA to 2 runs in 4+ innings. The reality is he was bad. I expected LA to be difficult for him because they like the fastball and he normally isn't accurate with his command. He can miss in the strike zone and that can be a nightmare against the Dodgers power bats. .... which is almost the entire lineup. He also threw far too many pitches for a short outing. The Mets HAVE TO shorten bullpen games and Severino made them go very early to the bullpen. That plays EXACTLY into the Dodger's game plan. The Mets MUST score early against LA. Otherwise.... expect the same outcome you saw tonight.

Disagree. The defense completely failed him in the second inning and the score should've been 0-0 or 1-0 at the very worst at that time. He should've gotten through 5 innings, but fact of the matter is the bats were silent so none of that matters.

Series not over. They still have a punchers chance, but they need to hit with runners on. This team has done the impossible this postseason and it would be shame if they don't go all the way. Going to be difficult. The Dodgers are as hungry or even hungrier than the Mets. We will see how the respond tomorrow. They didn't hit yesterday so it would have been a waste to pitch Quintana game 3. Tomorrow will dictate the series if it goes 7 games or if LA wins in 5 or 6 games.

Dodgers hope every night to stay even or ahead through 5 innings and then beat your bullpen into submission while their bullpen holds everything down. Rico your assessment is spot on. F.Alvarez is hurting the team dude needs to take off all his jewelry it must be weighing down his bat speed including his earing. Guy cannot hit he is looking for walks he is frozen and his error cost a run by trying to throw to 2nd instead if the easy out.. We have no speed on the bases we need aggressive baserunning cause the bats aint working we need pressure against La pitchers. A guy with Walk in his name dominated us Walker Bueller, guess Alvarez needed to be told to swing his bat. Kiki Hernandez's and his fruity glasses that homerun hurts that guy is a tool and Muncy irks me that guy has the body shaped like a full hoagie with legs.
