As someone who doesn't have a kid (yet), my heart aches for you when I see the hardships you and your partner go through. I have seen a lot of comments praising you and reminding you these days will pass (and some say you will miss them, even the hard times). I totally agree you deserve all the praise, I also think it is okay to take a moment and acknowledge that these nights look terribly difficult to an outsider, let alone you who is living through these what sometimes maybe feel as hopeless neverending nights. I admire your perseverance and sacrifice you make for your child. Your videos are a wake-up call to me in terms that motherhood comes in all shapes and forms and demand extreme sacrifice, both on you and (the ralationship you have with) a partner, other possible children. Thank you for sharing such a realistic peek (as far as thats possible on the internet, through a camera) into your life, the time stamps put it in perspective so much. Wishing you and your family the best🌻

I didn't have a colicky baby. He started to in the beginning, but I see she's using the products I had mentioned in a lot of comments at wh⁷m⁷atmat we did to lessen, then stop the colic before it got worse. Not saying I helped this in any way! To clarify. I'm sure other moms recommended the same things, after trial and error. Something I would NOT recommend at this young of an age is the Tubby Todd, until you know FOR SURE it's not burning his skin. It can cause him pain, even without redness or rash. We ended up switching to Fragrance free Aveeno baby lotion for sensitive skin (comes in white a BABY BLUE not regular blue) Daily wash for sensitive skin, and Aveeno Baby eczema therapy night time (or after bath and lotion balm, but even in the in the meantime with cleanings with thebm Mustella cleaning water 6for day to day, lotion dry spots I give him a daily cleaning in-between bathtimes. The we use the Mustella cleaning oil in the bath, followed up with the Mustella cleansing gel. Double cleansing in such a healthy way using safe, natural, gentle products on your baby, keeping them clean and the sensitive skin safe and protected. I wanted to use all natural stuff, but the stuff recommended was hurting him. I'm so glad I finally found a combo that not only works, doesn't burn.

@@IammightyI have 2 and I did it all alone as well. Their dad worked overseas and I was alone sometimes for months on end. When he was home he never helped either because I felt like the work he did for us as a family, that he didn’t have to “work” at home as well. He could have offered or just jumped in anyway with the kids or house work, but he never did. After my daughter and all the losses I had I still wanted another because I have 4 siblings and I never wanted my child to have to navigate this world alone after I and her dad pass on. They both had sensitive tummies and my son was a preemie. After a few weeks I switched my daughter to Nutramigen formula, it’s pre digested by bees and is the most gentle formula that exist, at least back then it was. I didn’t even try anything else with my son, just went straight to it. I brought those little 2oz nursers with me when I delivered and that’s all I and his nurse used from birth. It’s a god send for any baby with tummy issues due to feeding. ❤

However, women also insist on working these days whether or not their husband earns well. But I guess the world we live in is one where men are expected to do half of everything the woman does. And women want to only do the nice things that men do. I’m still waiting for feminists to demand equal representation to clean gutters, to draft into combat infantry on the frontlines, work oil rigs, be crane operators, etc. So yes, women in today’s world refuse to be stay at home moms when their husbands earn well. This then makes them also incapable of taking care of the children at night. So now everybody loses sleep yay!

@@AnishRamaswamy So all the household chores would be magically finished during day time when the infant is asleep right? And what do you mean by women gotta stay home if the husband earns well? Working doesn't solely depend on earning money only, if that's the case why Gates, Tata, Musk are earning more when they have adequate money to live luxuriously for generations? It's very simple, if you decide to be a father of an infant, you are supposed to learn certain things and support your wife. If you can't, better do not get married. I have no idea where you grew up, but visit villages once in your lifetime. Women who work in daily labor job also carry their child along with them.

When my son was born, I held him at times in the night when he would cry and to soothe him I would roam a bit around the room so that he would go to sleep. But I realized that this was actually making him restless.. so i would breastfeed him and then burp and lay him back in his crib. And when my daughter was born, i co-slept with her and breastfed her and would burp her nd roll her over halfway so that she would sleep on her own. And ALHAMDOLILLAH she never disturbed me in the night. 😊 may be i did not follow the rules of sleep-parenting but it worked for me. 😊

Motherhood is wonderful, but it is also the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I have cried, I have screamed into a pillow (when my baby was in a different room), I have been frustrated, and I have been exhausted. My daughter had colic from the day she was born until she was 9 months old. She’s past 40 & still has stomach issues. I cried all the time right with her. We tried driving in the car & white noise, sitting on the running dryer, you name it. Then, one day, I turned on the vacuum to start cleaning, & her eyes bugged out & she quit crying…like a light switch. I turned the vacuum off & she would scream. Back on & she quit screaming. It was a miracle for us. We lived in an apt. & I thought my neighbors would complain, but they didn’t. I worried my daughter would be deaf, but she’s not. And my vacuum didn’t burn out.

My son didn’t have colic but he was afraid of the dark. Our nights were filled with a screaming baby trying to figure out what in world was wrong. One night at about 3am we were so burnt out so we laid him on the and turned the light on to get ready to take him to my mom’s and immediately he stopped crying. He went to sleep shortly after. We spent the next couple nights with the light on until we could get a brighter nightlight. He slept pretty well after that.
