Newcastle Brown Ale ⭐ 2.2.23 1621pm it was my first choice of beer when i initially started boozing at a heady 17 years of age... it was a nice drink - the days of Newcastle united sponsorship deals etc etc... 75pence. 75pence in 1989...to 1994... and you could get it for 1 quid 25pence in a club or music venue. you're correct, though, it's still a relatively cheap drink... though does not have the same zing to it it once had when i first went out to get pissed. rites of passage, man. rites of passage. the film black dynamite film is airing and he's seeking out the drink that shrinks the black man's nob - newcastle brown could have been it. ahahahahha... anyhow; i aint stopped drinking it. but then i aint black.

I can't slag it off, it's childhood memories on the toon shirt, it's great night's out as a younger, it's something I still deeply love. That annoying sibling that you'll slap at times but unconditionally love but I'm from the North East and it was all the old school 12 hour shift hard geezas blanket after a rough week. Fair review brother and cheers but I will say when it was residing at home in the Tyne it was treasure now its just comfort if you know what I mean. From one sexy viking to another peace 🌟 💙

First beer I ever tried. My Dad used to buy himself a lone bottle from the local off license in warmer weather from time to time. It was pretty much the only beer he occasionally drank at home. I drank it myself in the 1990s and early 00s now & then - only ever from a glass bottle in bars with no decent beer, often at stockcar and banger racing events. It always had a very distinctive flavour. As somebody who ran alehouses and did a bit of commercial brewing in the early 00s, I've always seen Newky Brown as a little bit of a relic from the times when cask ale was on life support. Compared to the dreadful keg bitters of the 80s and the creamflow bitters of the 90s, it was quite flavoursome. I won't drink it even for old times sake since Heineken involved themselves. We don't need to encourage the soulless megacorps by buying the products they acquire and treat as "brands".

it's a refreshing drink, but I think they need to add more oomph to it! I've heard it's a bit weak these days? maybe they need to add some more bitter hops because, in my opinion, all that glucose syrup adds a weird sticky cola taste to it which I'm not fond of.
