This video make me miss home so much. It's so heartbreaking to be out here in Alberta. After I graduate I'm going home, and I hope I never have to come back out here. As for sealing... you know what? That's how we used to have to survive. It's no different than killing a cow, or a sheep. It's food and it's damn tasty. Don't preach about killing the "cute little seals". Have you ever seen a baby cow? Think about that the next time you're eating a steak.

@markdj431 have you ever been inside a slaughterhouse..take it from me its not a pretty sight...i wish people could stop and think about that before they sit down and stuff their faces with chicken wings and ribs.. but.the seal hunt makes for a great story with drama and peoples minds are brainwashed by whatever they see on that tiny box...by the way seals are also a big industry in greenland, russia, the canadian arctic, quebec,Prince edward island, and alaska.

By far the most beautiful province in our expansive nation. Friendliest people on earth. Some of the best memories I have are on the rock. My mother grew up in Trout River Nfld, I'm very thankful she would take me back to her home often to see the breath taking landscapes and meet the hospitable people. L'anse Aux Meadows is beautiful too, fantastic history waiting to be discovered by every new visitor. Go with an open mind and you will leave enlightened and have memories that last a lifetime!

@TheDudeYouHateToMeet Your map must be pre-confederate Newfoundland, unless you're joking? But this province was the last one to join Canada in 1949, although the newest created territory is Nunavut. It feels like another country, but it's the same one. I'm from the province of Ontario, and moved to Newfoundland to do my Master's degree, and I assure you it's the same country. It definitely is beautiful here, you'd enjoy it!

This IS beautiful, but I have to say it frustrates me, because even on the cover of the booklets for Memorial University of Newfoundland, it displays students sitting on rocks overlooking the sea, like in the vid. The University is in the heart of the city and has tens of thousands of students!!! (the largest university in Atlantic Canada!) People who have never BEEN to Newfoundland, in my opinion, often get the wrong idea about this place. But don't get me wrong, it's also very scenic...

Newfoundlands eat seal. Whoopdeedoo. I eat Kangaroo. It makes sense to me to eat local animals. Would it be better for me to eat cattle, sheep or pig who devistate my country but are 'politically correct' as a food source, or eat 'roo, which is local, abundant and tasty? So what if they eat Seal? How is a seal different than eating a cow or chicken? The cutesy baby seal eyes make you want to save it? Ask to look into the eyes of your Veal next time you request it at a restaurant.

People Are Just targeting Newfoundlanders because someone famous decided to act out against this certain topic. I Disagree with The Killing Of Seals, But i Also Disagrree with All The Other Animal Cruelty Going on In this World, So Before Anyone Says anything Anything about Newfounlanders being "Inhumane", Do Some Research On How Your Favourite Shirt, or lipstick, or Food Was Made.

seals are delicious, especially the cute little baby ones. You need to make sure they're cute though, because if you get the mature ugly ones they taste bad. I personally like my seals cooked alive since it gives a better taste. srsly guys, stop whining about people eating seals and go hug a fucking tree.

@loverandomme1 We just got back from the North West coast of Newfoundland, and we were staggered by the beauty of the place. We were expecting low rocky hills and bush. Instead, miles of pristine mountains, cliffs and shore took our breath away. It's magical...Just go.

Newfoundland is the only place on earth where I feel my soul belongs. Argentia was my first Naval Station and I never wanted to leave. I hope someday before I die that I can return to live out my years . . . There is no better place to be.

Im one of those people who say dont eat the seals only beacause I've too much a heart for them so people yeah it's normal for you but for people who live in central canada it's so weird and wrong it's just an opinion dont blame them for it.

Isolation is the complete. Unity amongst divinity is the total peace of a tall and strong current, that washes away your worries and mares. Someday i will walk those fields, see their plantations, and smell its air.. someday..

@sammelina12 u are correct, in my opinion, newfoundland should be considered a part of canada all along, just it was untouched by all that french vs. english stuff that went on in the 1600-1900

No numnuts, no politocian or mainlander or any other Canadian destroyed the cod fishery. Overfishing destroyed the cod fishery, done primarily outside Canada's 200 mile limit.
