The exhausting back n forth with Farr 40 Blue continues. Earlier, we passed them with a well-timed sail change from the A2 to the fractional code zero. They were 4.5 miles to windward off our starboard quarter. Now they are to leeward directly abeam of our port side. We're 14.3 nm from the rhumb line so their position is closer to the straight n narrow but Jorge Madden is confident that our course will pay off with better currents after crossing the Stream.
We've been in the Stream for about three hours now and we can definitely feel its effects. The air temperature is much warmer than last night, the humidity is high, and we're taking a hefty 30 degree knock from the current. We're heading 185 but our course over ground is 155.
