The thing is that Joerg is not the inventor of this technology. The Chinese did it, approximately one thousand years ago. Then, the Dutch imported it in Europe, and adapted on it, during the Dutch Independence War, against the Spanish, then, they adapted on it the Anthony van Leuwenhook' s innovation : the scope. Which wasn't possible on the Musket. With this technology, they targeted, first the French officers, then the Prussian ones, in 1775,during the Frederick the Great ' s invasion. Then, after two centuries, came Joerg, which perfected it, combining all the new technologies in one product.

@@razvannicola5197 Well saying that the Chinese invented the technology is like saying that Da Vinci invented the plane. Awesome creation. Only suggestion is to be able to have a piece of the non-sliding section extend at the rear to have the mounting point for the optic on it so the optic can remain static whilst re-loading and will also hold 0 as it wont be mounted to something that can move. Basically have the red dot attach to a section protruding from the stock area and not the magazine area.

Hi Joerg. Great video as always. One thing though, as a trained concealed weapon carrier in the US we are taught to never fire warning shots. Firstly, at least in the US, warning shots can be interpreted as not being threatened enough to use direct or deadly force which then places you in the realms of negligent discharge. Secondly and more importantly, firing a warning shot escalates the engagement without doing anything to incapacitate the attacker. You have now put the attacker in fear for their lives and while some may run, others will escalate to deadly force to respond to you. If you are threatened enough to shoot make the first shot count.
@Slingshotchannel
Жыл бұрын
Here, it is different. The law expects you to use the least dangerous, but suitable method available to you at the time and location of the attack. This will be challenged in court in case you hurt (or kill) an attacker. Everything you can prove you tried to stop the attack without hurting the attacker helps. So he comes at you, knife in hand, you yell "stop or I will shoot". He keeps coming, you shoot an arrow in front of his feet. He still keeps coming, you shoot an arrow into his leg. He still keeps coming and you shoot him in the chest, as he is now very close. THEN you may have a chance to walk.

I like the updates, very cool. I bought the original files when I saw it on your channel about a year ago (its nice, but I wish it had linear rails instead of plastic on plastic, then it would be a premium machine without too much added cost). I love that this one uses the vertical grip, though I'd go with a carbon fiber telescopic stock solution so it can be fired while collapsed. The bow limb instead of slingshot rubber is a nice update, if I can take the one off the ~$20 bows those things last practically forever and plenty for plinking targets having a great time. I'm excited to see if this is the final revision or if there comes a higher capacity with maybe a dozen bolts (I bought like 80 bolts because you lose them playing, and they are so cheap if I can fire for 10-15 seconds rapid fire that would be awesome!). I'm glad you came up with the base design Joerg, its amazing how effective yet simple it is, its brilliant!

Awesome. I have the original Steambow Stinger, but it’s packed away. I think it will be a collector’s item one day, as it was the first modern production repeating crossbow. But it does have limitations. It’s great to see the state of the art advancing on these. There is one weakness: the need to be sorta standing up to utilize the lever action. This also of course affects the Adder to an even greater degree. The new Bat (many names) addresses this; you can be on the ground, taking cover, while still firing arrows. And the reverse draw versions of those are very powerful. I won’t be buying because between my Stinger and Adder I have enough.

I would suggest PETG for durability, but does look glossy and I will print most parts with ASA because it looks awesome and is UV-resistant. I've also a lot of ABS left, but it shrinks and stinks. Otherwise I suggest PLA+ from eSun because it's easy to print and durable. Some people are printing even firearms with it, but the critical parts are metal, obviously...

I can't believe they disabled your video/account for the 3d printed files. You need your own website.

Wow that is indeed really fast! I guess the only thing missing would be the double stacked mag (12 shots) showcased in a previous video, but still this thing is amazing. The knife is neat too, especially the compactness is nice, though the price point is something thats high for me - I'm poor, so the highest i'd spend on a knife is 30€. I got a Mil-Tec tactical folding knife for 25€ and it came with a glass breaker, mini saw blade on top side and a seatbelt cutter all in one.

Hearing him talk about using it for home defense the only thing I could think of was a thief entering the home and hearing that amazing laugh before feeling the bite of the xbow

A moment of silence for the poor bastard trying to break into Jörg's house. 🙏 Imagine all the features he will be shown 😅
