The fact that you're being completely honest about having doubts before you truly accepted God is the realest thing to say because if you're truly not questioning it then you're not digging into God's word or trying to seek him. I really appreciate you using your platform to spread the gospel in your own very unique way. In 1st Corinthians 10:31 It says "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." I really feel like that's what you're doing on this platform is just glorifying God and whatever you do and it doesn't mean that it always has to be completely Christian based It just means that you're living your life and showing Jesus. If I remember right... I saw this Dove award show that year and NF was glossed over in the 'RAP' award as if he is penalized shadow band style... probably same with Christian radio... hence Therapy Session ''This music is more than you think Don't book me for just entertainment, it's entertaining Hearing these parents, they telling their kids My music is violent, you gotta be kidding me I guess that your definition of violence and mine Is something that we look at differently How do you picture me, ah? Want me to smile, you want me to laugh You want me to walk in the stage with a smile on my face When I'm mad and put on a mask, for real though I mean, what you expect from me? I'm tryna do this respectfully'' Nate even not seeking the 'accolades' at shows... ''This type of life isn't glamorous This ain't an act for the cameras'' He is in that unique lane God gave him that drops him right in between the mainstream and gospel/Christian genre... Even his music blends so many styles even in one album and many time...just in one song even...he is hard to place in a space... ''This music is not just for people Who sit in the pews and pray at the churches *I've been rejected I don't expect everyone to respect it I don't expect you to get my perspective What you expect from a therapy session?!'' So ALL industries are not that sure what to do with NF REAL music IMHO... but... this is what motivates the artist in him as if it is his 'superpower' that validates the mission of NF God has shown to a humble and willing servant who in his eyes thinks... '' I'm not 'famous'... I'm just Nathan...;)

Thank you so much for making this video! I love NF and I just recently found this song. I remember listening to it and thinking of how far off track I have gotten in life. I grew up going to church but when I got older, that kinda took a backseat. And like you were saying you might say you are a Christian but if you aren't fully committed, then are you really?? I consider myself Christian but I haven't been fully committed for years. I have 3 sons.... and we have been through some dark times lately. I was just telling my son before I found this video of yours that I feel like God is calling me and my boys HOME. I have been getting signs recently... my mother passed away 7 years ago. She was a dedicated Christian. She had her demons but she always trusted God would take care of her. I feel like God has been giving me these signs through my mom. I always picture her as a beautiful angel 😇 She is with God now so I know she is the happiest and most free she has ever been. I now feel like God has shown me another sign through YOU. Everything you said in this video SPOKE to me. I thank you so much for being a light. I will take on your "challenge" of being Christian for 6 months. How I am feeling right now, I am sure it will last longer though ☺️ I am also glad you took back your apology there at the end. Never apologize for being truly yourself. I tell my boys that everyday! So I again thank you! I look forward to more of your videos 😊 Thank you for reading this comment all the way to the end too 😃

Thank you! One of my goals with this channel is to just be human. I feel like too many Christian KZitem channels portray a perfect image. You look up Christian KZitemrs and the main thing you see is people judging other Christian KZitemrs and then them telling you what not to do. Their image is so squeaky clean that it makes their channel corny. They only put their perfect self out there and then try to witness. I'm Christian first but I'm also a human living in the real world. Real christians aren't perfect. You fall out of pocket, you have questions, you make mistakes. The main thing is trying as hard as you can to stay on the right path but when you inevitably make a wrong turn just double back and get back on the path. My KZitem mission is to have fun but also hopefully show humanity in Christianity. Thanks for reading my Ted talk 😂
@mnfarmgirl55
Жыл бұрын
@@TrevandErin 😂Ted talk, I luv it! Don't get me started on "Christian," KZitemr's. I watch a lot of KZitem, both secular and Christian, mainly because I have 9 and 18 year old granddaughters and I want to be cognizant of the kinda garbage they are being subjected too. So many of the Christian channels make my skin crawl, especially, as you said, the continual critical, judgemental and condescending attitude of so many. Makes you wonder why anyone would want to be a Christian. We like to blame the non-Christian for our messed up world but the Christian community needs to take ownership of our own shortcomings. Last thing (for now anyway,) 🙄 I really appreciated your commenting on growing up in a Christian home and then getting a bit lost along the way. Fortunately, it took less time for you to get back on track than it did for me, but I found, that when I left home, I had no real faith of my own; not to mention I had little understanding of what I was taught in church. Didn't help that I left a small town to the big city and didn't have a clue about anything! Okay, enough with my rant! Again, thank you for being bold in expressing your love for God and your commitment to sharing your faith. I think you are bringing hope and are a shining light to many.🙏 Good grief, I sound like I'm your mother. 😅

Checkout his songs: Circles, Beautiful Addiction, Alone, Your Grace. All are great Christian Songs from him I walked away from God for a long time. Came back to Him after being hospitalized last December. Lucky to be alive, lost my job, lost my money...trying not to lose my house Best decision of my life to come back to Him. Yeah, still have the same battles mentioned above, but I have a peace I never knew was possible Never apologize for telling people about Jesus

There are some really great Christian rappers, if you look into it a bit. Check out Lecrae, Andy Mineo, and Tedashii just to get things started. If you want a good starter into the genre, react to The Man Up Anthem... I think it will surprise you.

I hate sin but I built a house and I still live in it afraid to open up the door to n let you in. Juxtapose that with mansion when he let fear in and it settled in. So he let fear in and fear wouldn't let him open up the door for God. Is it me or the fear talking? I don't know anymore.

you haven't heard it, cause it aint marketed as Christian. He aint accepted by Chrisians, or Hip Hop artists. Too Chrisian for the world, and not Christian enough for evangelicals

@@NIKKI-1979 I think it’s true of some Christian circles though. Maybe the artists like him. I think some of the pushback has faded over time though. This was a different story years ago. The Search changed things in terms of respect by his peers.

I can agree but I would of not heard NF early in his career if it had not been for "Christain Radio" playing him. 🤔 Also has been talked about from every reactor doing any music and NF wants to not be labeled as anything. Keeping himself right in the lane he made and owns.
