I’ve had a concussion. It’s not fun. And it’s scary not knowing if you truly are 100% back, even once or twice can be enough to alter your life. This is serious stuff. Idk who could dislike this. Many have lost their lives this way.

Too many folks today still believe that hockey helmets are great for reducing concussions and its so far from the truth! Those cheap yet expensive bicycle like helmets that hockey players wear is only good to prevent skull fractures or limit the damage of the head hitting the ice....the rest is up to the players, hit and take hits can result in concussions, that is really sad but true! ✌🏼😎👍🏼

sylvainster30 That’s not true. They definitely help prevent concussions.

@@cjr1881 Helmets certainly prevent cuts and help with concussions but.....when the brain bangs into the skull, the helmet may have helped but still concussed...

Helmets don’t always help prevent concussions the help reduce pain when there is impact but your brain still hits the inside of your skull causing a concussion.

I'm watching this while concussed. Saturday I hit my head at home. Felt really bad for maybe 30 minutes. After that was mostly symptom free. I didn't know however that difficulty of falling a sleep was a symptom. I didn't fall asleep before 7 am Sunday morning and had difficulties last night. I didn't feel any other symptoms before monday when I opened my computer at work. Since then my headache has been BAD! This is my concussion number 5 and I'm very worried about my long term health. I just want to say it to everyone: take care of your health it is your most priced posession!

Hey man I've suffered from this sort of thing before, just spend the time doing what you love, and being around people who care about you, love hockey? Watch or play it, love xbox? Play it, do what you want as long as it makes you happy

Bottom line, there is no protection that stops the movement of the brain, period! Monetary consideration should never come before the health of the players.

It would seem to me in my humble opinion that avoiding physical contact would be the best way to save players lives.....that's what we are talking about here. When you get one it destroys your life and could kill you. Turn it into a pure skill game. I know it's not a popular view but either was accepting people for who they love, only 10 years ago. Just sayin.

The nhl should allow cannabis to be used by players. The research on cannabis use reducing concussions is shocking
