This was taken from the 14th floor of our hotel room window at the Marriot Fallsview Hotel on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls are described as being lit in the colors of the rainbow. During that summer, the light show started around 5:30 P.M. and ended at 2 A.M. the following day. They have nightly illuminations for the falls with special illuminations during special holidays.
They also feature fireworks around 9 or 9:30 P.M. during the weekends starting Fridays to Sundays, although schedules may change depending on the holidays. The firework displays lasts for about 5 minutes. But I would say there is nothing really spectacular about it except that it’s on Niagara Falls, which makes it a big deal!
I don’t think the view on the American side of the falls is anything like the one on the Canadian side. And the park on the American side of the fall closes probably before the light shows begins.
