Actually, no, this wasn't it… WB/DC still didn't think a cinematic universe was feasible, so they stuck to their solo trilogy plan, paying lip service to fans whenever they asked about a JL movie, instead of making real plans. They didn't pay attention to the MCU until Avengers broke BO records on their way to $1.5B worldwide and 3rd highest grossing film in history at the time. THAT's where they scrapped their plans for MoS2 and decided to make their own shared universe.

This is just as wonderful as it was almost a decade ago. Unlike other comic book films it wasn't a joke, a throwaway cameo, or a sly little reference that only comic geeks would get. It was something more, something unambiguously significant. It was a preview, true, but most of all it was a promise, a promise that just over the horizon an entire universe was waiting, full of amazing sights, fantastic heroism, and spectacular battles between good and evil. It was a promise from Marvel that this universe wouldn’t be abandoned after a box office bomb sequel before dying a quiet death in a Friday night spinoff show.

The most important post credit scene in movie history. I had absolutely no idea what the Avengers were at the time, even though I had known of various Marvel Super Heroes like Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Spider Man, the Fantastic Four, and the X-Men since the 80s... I had absolutely no idea when Iron Man came out, that it would be part of an extended franchise that would connect so many of the Marvel Super Heroes in the same universe and setting... It was when I saw the Incredible Hulk and the post credit scene with Tony Stark visiting General Ross that I finally connected the dots... Funny thing is, I've seen this movie three times. First time when it came out in theatres, second time when it came out on DVD and I watched it with my family, and third time years later when it was on tv... and until recently I never knew this even existed lol :D

We all know why we’re here. The similarity between this and what we saw with Fury and Peter in far from home trailer is uncanny.

As much I like the MCU on what it is now I still prefer the original MCU movies and are way better than multiverse movies. Because I rather go back to 2008 again and see Iron Man and Hulk on the big screen again because I miss when Marvel was awesome and amazing. Also Warner bros and Nolan gave us the Dark Knight and Meryl Streep gave us Mamma Mia. Dreamwork’s and Jack Black gave us Kung Fu Panda and Madagascar 2 and Pixar gave us Wall E

This little scene right here will go down in history as the most important movie scene ever created.
